I think that was my favorite part of the whole thing. Just the amount of us rolling down the roads. We got so many dirty looks from other motorists. lol

So what were the top-speeds people saw this weekend (during closed-course sanctioned events only of course)?

I got pretty deep into 5th gear, and I'm guessing 150+mph :D

The one time I looked I think I was at 115 when I let off. Every other time I just laid into it and watched the road. :)

Janelle too.

Anna is the queen of car sickness, but she did not get sick at all the entire trip, even on Sunday when I opened it up a little through the twisties and several WOT runs. Normally she gets sick *instantly* whenever I step on the gas, brakes, or turn the wheel :) I attribute this to the smoothness of my driving, enabled by my new alky kit (it is waaaay smoother than old one), new front motor mount, and and fresh alignment and wheel balance. The car felt like it could just go and go and go! Next step, MR bilsteins and eibach pro-kit? :) :) :)

PS--I averaged 26MPG on this trip ;)

First fill up (top off) I got 35 mpg and then when I filled up on day 2, I got 31 mpg. Not bad and I had some fun too.

I had a great time, besides the hangover on Sunday. Cheap liquor FTW.

I don't think I got above 100, didn't get on it very much the whole way.

I'm not sure exactle how fast I got up to because appearantly my spedo reads low. I did get up to roughly 7000 rpm in 5th gear though. I'm so excited for the fall cruise! Hopefully the weather will co-operate enough one of these times so I can take my bike! I've wanted to for the last 3 cruises, and the weather just has not worked out.

i have another (somewhat small) damage report from the cruise.

after the car wash, peter and i were coming home up 61. we stopped for food and on our way out i noticed that my left side windsheild trim had been popped out. it had never happened before. i snapped it back in and thought it would hold. last night while driving down the freeway, it got caught in the wind and was ripped back, bending the metal and ripping the rubber. ugh.

i know my damage isnt anything near rosey's or 311evo's but it still kinda sucks.

So thats why you had red tape on it this morning!

When spray-detailing my car last night I noticed my front bumper squeaking so it looks like hitting that pheasant broke a clip or something inside my bumper.

Holy shit! Did you end up pulling the motor, or just swapping out the crank with the block still in the car, head still on top?
