the box of free stuff showed up from the UK yesterday.
evo III rear light up fogs
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04951.jpg
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04952.jpg
also the evo III rear harness for the trunk. It is the only part of the wiring that was not evo so the lights will be a plug in and the rear defrost will work now

I don't machine TBs for Buscher. I needed a picture of an Evo TB and found that one on a DSM forum somewhere. Didn't realize where it came from but it's no longer on my website. Sorry for any confusion.

He told me he only rebuilds them, but won't port them.

stevemonroe 03-28-2009 07:32 AM

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

OK I can do them. I wasn't sure but learned through Scheides that

Quote:

"Evos can be tuned through the stock ECU with full control of the idle settings"

So that info dismissed my concerns about machining one and it going out of round like usually happens with the 1G Non Turbo TBs I do. They may go a little out of round but as long as you can control the idle RPM it won't matter. I won't quote a price until I do a couple but figure around $150-$175for full rebuild, beadblast machine bore, new polished plate and bore.
Thanks
Steve

BTW here's a new item I'm now doing for old school cars:
http://www.throttlebodys.com/90_NT_63mm_TB_001.jpg

1990 Non Turbo 63mm TB made Turbo ready.
Target users: 1990 Turbo owners.
Advantages - max flow, no restrictive elbow, one less surface to seal.

here is what Ali made for me yesterday they are suede. I still have enuff to do the head liner and the rear speaker deck.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04962.jpg
after I got them put on. I just used some extra thread and drilled holes into the plastic part for the shifter. the oem one was glued and I did not want to glue it on.

Get rid of those nasty mats too!

TkrPerformance 04-16-2009 11:19 AM

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

the mats came with the front clip and they work great for snow and salt and they fit the car. I have not found other mats that will fit yet so they just stay in all the time. it need something in it because the carpet in the car is super thin

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

made a new rear speaker deck this morring and covered it in the grey suede

here is the old one that had the 3rd brake light holes in it still and it was falling apart after we took it out to run the evo trunk harness
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04973.jpg
the new one
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04971.jpg
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04972.jpg

also yesterday when I was cleaning up the garage I found the bracket for the mini fire extinguisher. So I thought why not put it in the car it was just sitting in the garage and it is ricey chrome. it got mounted to the cage behind my seat.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

picked up a mini battery kit local out of a evo 8 for 125.00. got it all installed with out the extra piece for the evo 8.
the yellow top with the tray and bolts was 50lbs
the mini kit with tray and bolts 23lbs

I was able to shove it all the way past the frame rail on the car by the fender just enuff room for it to sit in there. It frees up a ton of room also when I redo the fmic and piping later on.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

i just did it because it was a killer deal. it was this or buy a battery box and a push pull switch to put the yellow top in the trunk. this end up to be a better deal in the end. now i have a yellow top for the spyder

Constant_Project21 04-24-2009 04:46 PM

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

I thought about doing the rear battery just to clean up the bay, but I have no patience with my car at the moment..lol.

last week we went to the junk yard and got some parts for the mirage hatch, but I found a 94 talon that had polly mounts in it still. Picked them up for 5.00 each. u-pull-it rocks :)
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC05026.jpg

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC05030.jpg
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC05029.jpg

got the fmic put on. had to move the oil cooler up a bit and will have to move the tow hook mount so the piping can fit. also had to cut up the bumper a bit to get it all to fit.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

also thinking of taking out the a/c. It has never worked right any way one of the elec motors for the auto climate control does not move right to let the a/c come in to the car. The main reason to do it is to get more room for the gt3582 that will go in some time. with the a/c out I will take out the honda radiator and fal fan and pick up a afco scirocco radiator from summit that will bolt in the core surpport. that way I dont have to make a manifold for the car. I can just pick up a good t-3 mani.
