Later in the day? You nuts. We are going to start at 10am.

john 07-03-2004 01:30 AM

Are all 10 cars going to be able to dyno FOR SURE? I would be pissed if I converted to FWD and wasn't able to dyno because everything ran too late or something.

AJ 07-03-2004 01:48 AM

If everthing goes smooth and people don't have to spend an hour dropping the t case and come preparred then yes. If you don't dyno, you don't have to pay. Only gaurentee.

Jana 07-03-2004 11:32 AM

I would say if the person isn't converted before it starts, or before there time, they get bumped and the next person ready would dyno.

That way it ensure those who are prepared can dyno.

That's my .02.

carltalon 07-03-2004 12:04 PM

We could try to alternate between FWD and AWD cars to keep thing rolling. But we will probly only have a few FWD cars to work with.

Shane@DBPerformance 07-03-2004 12:16 PM

If the cars come in FWD and we don't waste time trying to tune then we could 20 in a day(not that I want to do that many). On VW dyno days when its get on the dyno, make 2 pulls, get off the dyno and its also almost all FWD cars (RWDs take longer to setup) we can do 10+ in a few hours.

joem 07-03-2004 07:45 PM

I'm in right?

Well you said hope your car is running so will be in, so i wasn't sure. lol

Got ya in.

AJ 07-04-2004 10:57 AM

I want to make sure the AWD guys know what they need to do to dyno. There is alot of AWD guys and I hope they all have a welded VC and have it swapped in before hand.

Again we will not be doing the swap of the VC inside.

JustROLLIN 07-06-2004 11:33 PM

I am leaving for Vegas on the 1st so I told my boss I need the 31st off too! Woohoo, I get to go.

Plus, I know you all want to see an AWD burnout.

That's easy. Any 300+ whp DSM can do that anytime at Rock Falls. I used to do them through 2nd gear out there.

AJ 07-12-2004 02:06 PM

Anyone up for some differant food options? I was thinking of adding some corn on the cob on the grill as well. Probably sell them off for about a buck a pop seperate. But I am not sure if there is much intrest.

Also, everyone AWD on pace to have their car FWD in time?

Anyone need to back out for some weird reason?

v8klla 07-12-2004 02:11 PM

I'm still hoping man, hoping she will be running in time...

Chris

AJ 07-12-2004 02:45 PM

I'lll get ya in. Another FWD enters the game!

JET 07-12-2004 07:30 PM

Assuming something major doesn't happen, I will be there. The car should be out and about this weekend hopefully. It gets closer and closer all the time! Now it just needs to cool off a bit so the garage isn't over 100 degrees.

AJ 07-17-2004 01:54 PM

So we can we add Mo now? huh huh huh? Can we can we can we! lol

SlowWhite 07-19-2004 08:02 AM

I'll probably be coming to this event. But won't be dynoing.

I'm swapping out my Welded Viscious Coupler this week after I dyno. And don't want to put one back in next week.

AJ 07-21-2004 02:43 PM

1 spot left.

I guess that's up to the guys at Elite. It's been done before, and I know we have a few FWD guys that would definatly lay some smoke, but I am not sure how good of an idea that is.
I'm down my motot's got 1500miles on her now shes ready for some smoke....

ABV 07-22-2004 10:20 PM

 RWD burnout.

v8klla 07-25-2004 09:28 PM

Bad news, Looks as if the person who is supposed to be building my downpipe is going to back out. So that leaves me to do it on my own lol. I don't see how I will get it built and break in the motor and clutch by dyno fest. Sorry for the inconvenience guys...

Chris

Shane@DBPerformance 07-26-2004 03:28 PM

Dyno Day Rules and Info:

If you are dynoing an AWD, you need to have the VC in and transfer case removed before you enter the shop. Bring your own tools to drop the downpipe/transfercase in the parking lot, if needed. Bring some bungie cords or wire to tie up your driveshaft.

You will be driving your own car on the dyno during the pulls. Drive it onto the lift/dyno rollers, we will strap it down and hook everything up while you wait in the car. We will run the dyno controller, unless you really want to. The way it works is that we release the dyno brake, you casually get the car up to 4th gear and hold it at about 2000RPMs. When you are ready to make a pull, let me know and I will hit the sample button while you floor the gas and hold onto the steering wheel tight. Make the pull up to redline or revlimiter or how ever high you want to take it and let off the gas and put it into neutral. I will hit the dyno brake and the car will come down to a stop.

Enes 07-26-2004 03:38 PM

i won't be doing nothin with the dsm... the trany is 1/2 way out and on the way to shep....

-E

AJ 07-26-2004 03:48 PM

Thanks for the specifics Shane.

JET 07-26-2004 04:04 PM

I got dibs as the last car on the dyno! :D :bounce:

Enes 07-28-2004 03:25 PM

No, just leave it hooked up the trailor and be ready. LOL

john 07-29-2004 09:42 AM

Is there a dyno order yet? I don't want to spend the whole day there.

SlowWhite 07-29-2004 11:14 AM

How about Bets on who's going to put down the most HP?

So far my Money's on Nash (cause it's proven)

JET 07-29-2004 11:24 AM

I'll take bets on the most torque! Haha, I am still on the stock intake manifold. That is going to hold me back, big time! :headache:

Enes 07-29-2004 11:31 AM

hmm.. maybe my truck would put down some nice tq...

-E

AJ 07-29-2004 11:37 AM

Not really any order yet. Carl's up first since he's the only FWD guys and will give the AWD guys a chance to get ready if needed. CVD is up as soon as he gets there since he has to work and I already talked to him about it, but other than that we will talk to those dynoing and get a schedule that day based on who's ready and when. Comming in FWD mode like Nash and CVD will make the day go by MUCH faster!

Thanks again guys!

SlowWhite 07-29-2004 01:42 PM

Hey,

Is Moe getting in on this?

AJ 07-29-2004 01:55 PM

I have no clue yet. That would be cool though.

Shane@DBPerformance 07-29-2004 07:08 PM

I can't stay at the shop all night long, so we have to make sure the cars are ready to go onto the dyno. When the VW guys dyno we can do 15 cars in 3-4 hours.

joem 07-30-2004 09:22 AM

Will not be able to make it.
joe

AJ 07-30-2004 09:35 AM

We have 7 now with Carey and Joe not being able to make it. So anyone else who want's to dyno thier DSM let me know. Good chance for you FWD guys or someone AWD and wil be ready in FWD mode.

DSMPARTSGURU 07-30-2004 09:36 AM

joem? no dont say its so, we live so close need me to give you a ride?
