Re: 2005 CBR
Your bike makes solid HP, I wouldn't be concerned with a few hp it still kicks ass.
Also I didn't know BMW makes a sport bike that makes crazy hp. |

I think BMW has fixed the problem now.

Re: 2005 CBR
You are gonna have a tough time finding stuff to race if you are gonna make even more power!

Re: 2005 CBR
Its going to be 600 with spray.

Re: 2005 CBR

Re: 2005 CBR
Hahaha... I had some guy tell me he had a 600RR as I'm looking over his debadged bike, telling him it was a 1000RR and to stop bullshitting. He wouldnt let it go. Never seen a 600RR with a factory HESD. He had no clue what that even was. Thats when I walked away.

Re: 2005 CBR
Haha. Most people can't tell what the bike is half the time. The speedo cluster is different from the 600 to the 1000. It will be easier to get people to race when they think its a 600

Re: 2005 CBR
I for one don't know shit about bikes.
Funny people still do that. (Fake lower power rides) It's more fun if its a close race IMO. |
Re: 2005 CBR
Well the bike is almost done. I installed the nitrous kit this afternoon. It took a good 4 hours to install it and it turned out great. I was scared drilling into the swingarm but it turned out fine. I had to cut the drill down to fit the drill in between the swingarm. It was a challenge finding a good place to mount the solenoid. right now the tank is off the bike and the top of the air box is off. Tomorrow iam going to get the bottles filled at norms tire. hopefully tomorrow night I can check for leaks and make sure the nitrous hits the I at sensor. I did take some pics of the install. If everything works right I will put the plastic back on the bike. All I need is a power commander multi hub so I can switch tunes on the fly. When I get that installed the bike will get tuned for all motor on pump gas. I don't know if I want to spray on pump gas or race gas. I would like to be able to spray on just pump gas but your not suppose to spray more than a 40 shot.

Well the Humpty Dumpty is back together. Here's some more pictures. One is the dyno shit and the other shows where I mounted my nitrous switch. I was think the other night about the dyno numbers. The bike would of made more but the extra long chain I am thinking might of ate up some power. I went from 114 link chain to 148 links. I think 20 links equals a pound. Anyways going to get the bottle filled and try it on the dyno. Hopefully the air fuel is safe on the spray. Iam only spray a 30 shot for now till the bike gets tuned.

Re: 2005 CBR
Tousley was able to order me OEM 600 RR decals. Should have the decals by this weekend. Might bring the bike in to get tuned next Monday. I still haven't sprayed it yet. I might try that this weekend just to make sure it works.

Re: 2005 CBR
Took the bike out today for a test spin before I leave for Chicago. The nitrous works great. You can really feel the extra power. Once I get back from Chicago it will get tuned by turbo Todd.

Well I got the bike on the dyno today after the rain stopped. I am very happy with the power it made. The bike made 148.3 HP on motor then on spray it made 180.3 HP. I do have a big jet to put in it but I think for now I will keep it like this. Bike feels real solid.
