The mustang was about a 90 GT, blue top with silver bottom and tinted tail lights. He ran a 9.65@147.95. The car looks very stock too, so watch out for him! We believe it was Skinny, but we aren't positive. That was on drag radials too, not slicks!

SlowWhite 04-19-2004 12:07 PM

And the Black Convertable 90ish that was getting his licenseing. he was trapping in there pretty good also.

One of the better line ups were when the blue one lined up against the covertable.

the convertable had been dogging it all day long. But when he lined up against the blue one he got on it ended up running 10.4@139 or something.

DAMN I'm old.

I was wrong earlier on the Funnest part of the day. The Best part was talking with the WRX owner who said Propultions just dyno'd his car at 540crank HP.

Everyone at the track was in AWE of his constistant 16-19sec runs or what ever they were :headache: :headache: :bs:

Awesome. That dyno must be pretty trick if it can measure HP at the crank without pulling the motor out of the car.

Mr Raced 04-19-2004 01:29 PM

Lol, yeah the WRX was great. Dont forget he was running only 38 or 40 psi cause he had a huge boost leak

SlowWhite 04-19-2004 01:30 PM

all 6 or so of us DSMr's were just laying into this guy with question after question.

It was funnier then hell. I think Nash made a comment when the guy showed us his "aftermarket" turbo. I thought I heared Andy say something like I could fit that thing in side the compressor housing of his turbo.

Anyrate what a freaking Moron. If anyone see's him just let him know.

It's a Blue WRX with Carbon hood, Trunk

JET 04-19-2004 02:04 PM

Yeah, he was making 540 crank hp on Sti injectors and a VF34, sure! I asked him if they took the engine out to measure it, then he said yes. Later he said they dyno'd it at propulsion the day before on the AWD dyno. What a moron!

a-lo 04-19-2004 02:56 PM

sounds like this wrx guy was way funny too bad i missed it.
were ther more cars there than the last "sport compact day"?

JET 04-19-2004 03:02 PM

There was maybe 100 cars there. You could have gotten about 10 runs in if you wanted to. It was great! Too damn bad I didn't have the silver car going.

2003eclipse 04-19-2004 07:07 PM

Hey was this blue WRX from wisconsin? was it navy blue or bright blue?
right across from my work there is a Navy Blue WRX with carbon fiber.

Mr Raced 04-19-2004 07:47 PM

He was from woodbury, i just saw him today :razz2:

JET 04-19-2004 08:14 PM

Did ya race him?? I want to run into him when I am in the winter beater! I'll whoop him with my 260 hp :D

Mr Raced 04-19-2004 09:12 PM

Ive seen him a few times by work, and saw him again today. Nice lookin car IMO.. BUT......

Today I had to run to 61 in WBL and saw him. He was lined up to a 92ish Grandprix on the other side of 61. The GP took off and sqeeled his tires, the WRX slowly accelerated from the light then got on it. I looked in my rear view, and noticed he didnt pull away from the GP all that fast.. Loud, and still had his racing numbers on the windsheild....

So tell me more about him, hes always flying past work. What did it run??

Oh ya.. again... I think the car looks pretty sweet IMO. But im sure hes a moron!

SlowWhite 04-20-2004 08:33 AM

Looks good but was running 16+ his worste of the day was 19 something.

As for the amount of cars I kept making comments like "is it me or didn't that guy just race?"

There were some cars that were actually going back to back runs. I was getting confused as to how they were doing the racing that day.

JET 04-20-2004 11:13 AM

His best of the day was a 14.99. Sounds like stock numbers to me!

ACRucrazy 04-20-2004 12:02 PM

Ha, my GF wouldnt have a problem walkin him in her peon...
Fools I tell ya! :stick:

Mr Raced 04-20-2004 12:49 PM

Yeah that was him for sure, still got the track numbers on it. I do agree it was nice looking, but either way the kid is still a dumb ass.

You mean worse than stock being stock is a 14.2 at 95 mph-ish.

And one more reason.

A//// Guy 04-21-2004 10:20 PM

Thats good stuff. Was that a stock tranny or did it have some good parts inside?

Nash 04-21-2004 10:31 PM

Completely stock.

TheBlizzard 04-22-2004 02:03 AM

And the main reason he only got one run is because he shook JDM's hand before he went out.

CRAIG

Ha, the 3g luck wore off on him. Reminder, dont do that again until the day is over ;) :secret:

niterydr 04-22-2004 08:19 PM

I thought he only got 1 run in because he broke a shift fork ? :bounce: ;)
So, andy, are you guys going to double pin the new one?

Nash 04-22-2004 10:07 PM

Nope, no double pin. Just put a stock 3-4 back in and an EVO 1-2.
