Looks Good how much boost does that thing make stock? and those things sound nasty with launch control... you should get it and launch it under full boost. ;) ;)

goodhart 04-21-2009 10:47 PM

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

That is launching under full boost. 14psi.

Got my road tune today, this is what it put down on the road dyno program that the tuner had on his laptop, he said the torque is probably quite a bit off, I don't remember why though.

Here it is:

I'll post up comparisons of my DB Dyno sheet tomorow after the Dyno Day.

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

well, I have looked absolutely everywhere and connot find a green wideband gauge to match my stock gauges. Stupid prosport doesn't make one that is green/white, only the premium and ugly LCD ones. So, does anybody know of a analog wideband that is white, then changes to green while the lights are on? I really like the way the G3/LC-1 looks, but it doesn't change colors. If I could get one like that it would be sweet.

PLX makes a ton of gauge options, check them out.

The auto in your WRX is sucking up a lot of power.

I believe they are Tien. Something like a 2" drop in front a 1" in back.

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

I vaguely recall him saying Tein H.Tech.

A//// Guy 05-13-2009 09:53 PM

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

H-Techs typically drop it only 1 inch and are quite stocklike in ride. I had them on the M3, not bad. S-Techs are usually red..

Kracka 05-13-2009 09:58 PM

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

S.Techs are green and I think the H.Techs are yellowish right? I miss my green springs :(

A//// Guy 05-13-2009 10:00 PM

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

Huh weird, I think mine were dark yellow or gold, like in the pic above. Ive only seen red S techs. hmm

95tsi 05-14-2009 01:06 AM

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

They are the H series. I'm not too sure on the drop but it looks pretty nice how it sits now. Got it all wrapped up a little while ago. Hopefully, Mike can get it in for an alignment and then he should be ready to put some miles on it!

goodhart 05-14-2009 01:36 AM

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

Yup, they are Tein H-Techs, they drop it 1.8 front and .8 rear, I love the way the car sits now!! I'll be going to Tires Plus in the morning for an alignment, then I will post pics after that.

PLX is all digital, I am really looking for an analog, needle style gauge.

Ok, after my alignment I took some shots of the car. Here is some before and after pics of it.

How does the ride compare to Janelle's Prokits?

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

^^A little tiny bit bouncier I think. I'll have to get some STi shocks, and finish the combo here for a real nice ride. It seems right now though that its a smoother ride than it was before, not really a bad thing I guess, considering 6 months from now I'll be hauling my baby around iun the back seat.

Tinted my tails this last weekend, I used the VHT Niteshades spray tint.

As you can see, even though they are tinted pretty dark, the light still comes through really well.

Here is some more pics in the daylight as requested.

Oooo sexy! How does it look in the daylight? Moar pics!

Id like to tint mine but its not really reversible.. so im iffy on it.

goodhart 05-18-2009 12:28 PM

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

If you're looking for a more reversible option to tail light tainting, you should look into these.

How well can you see the brakes in the daylight I think Peter was asking about. Looks good though.

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

Been a while since I've done anything to this pile, lol.

This last week or so I have picked up a few things for it though.

- ERZ Downpipe
- Ebay Up-pipe
- This carbon fiber exhaust sheild that Jannelle needs:
http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/fastwrx_2080_31251550

- And this Saweeet deal on this Seibon CF grille for $100 ( retails for over $200)
http://mnsubaru.com/forums/attachmen...1&d=1257210628

I'll update as I get some of this crap installed.

Hows the car feel with that up/downpipe combo? Are you planning on getting it tuned?

Haven't gotten any of it on yet, still waiting on shipping :(

Only thing to show up so far is the downpipe

Still waiting on a whole slew of stuff to show up that I ordered last week:

-Uppipe
-Tein badge for grille
-CF exhaust thing
-Domo doll :D

And yes I will be getting it tuned by Nate (Bullwinkle)from MNSubaru again, he is one of the few non-douche members over there and know shis shit.

Seriously though, it should look pretty nice, if not then it'll come off, it was only 8 bucks so I figured what the hell.

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX

Got my uppipe and downpipe this weekend, also installed my little carbon fiber exhaust sheild.

Up-pipe:

Downpipe:

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/IMG00286.jpg

Also had to re-adjust my front bumper a bit because it just didn't seem to fit right for some reason. We took the bumper off Saturday night and discovered a little damage, and this car was obviously in some sort of wreck in the past, here are some pics. Nothing too major, but it explained the bumper not fitting quite right.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/IMG00273.jpg

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/IMG00272.jpg

Like I said nothing too major, now it looks much better than it did before and will also allow this new grill to look even nicer.

This also showed up on Friday, took about 10 minutes to install and I think it looks pretty nice and will actually be funtional once my new exhaust parts get installed.

I would sand a spray those welds, had the same deal on one of my cars, and the weld rusted out and broke. Rustoleum and a new weld fixed the issue.

Does anyone make one of those exhaust heatshields w/o all the pre-drilled screw holes?

No idea, I guess to me it didn't really matter having the rivets there cause my car is already silver and it matched good
