Notice a trend here people? Everyone wants something for nothing. Step up dudes! What do you have to loose, $50? Meh. C'mon, I already pay for server hardware, hosting, software, and maintenance for this site out of my own pocket, providing you a community to BS, play games, BS, organize sweet events, BS, and more BS....then work my tail off to organize these events.

What ya say SGH, DB.....pitch in some prizes? :)

When I'm at home I'm going to start clicking on more ads, more prizes will be worth it. :)

Big thanks to Mark for helping me button up a few things before I get tuned. Got the two oil leaks from turbo/manifold fixed and holes retapped, got oil and water return lines from turbo both fixed, got a 10in pusher fan installed on the turbo side of the radiator, exhaust leak fixed, oil feed line filter installed and oil pressure gauge reinstalled with a new t-fitting at filter housing, it was a long day. All that is left is to rewire fuel pump (have all parts) and fix TB seals.

Nah, I just need some incentive to get my jalopy running that day. Besides, $50 is $50, the economy sucks. :sasmokin:

Isn't the dyno day at MAP?

They should donate some after they make $50 on all of us ;)

I'm sure MAP will be kicking in some prizes, they always are quite generous.

Sorry for the rant, having a bad day at work and that just came out. I don't like to complain, but I can be a whiner from time to time! :D

I meant on the driver side of the radiator. Like where the stock AC fan goes, we put a fan between the radiator and the intercooler, pushing air towards the back of the car. I only had the one fan up until now on the passenger side, the stock second fan doesn't fit with the external wastegate.

I'm having my car tuned before the dyno day, but on a dyno dynamics dyno, I'd say it's worth it to compare numbers alone, plus have a really good time. Do it!!!

Not really, you get to showboat your ride! Stick a FS ad in the window while it's on the rollers....

So, now it's just seeing if It'll be ready.

This would just be to document the gains of a T28 over the T25 at stock boost, but it would be interesting to see none-the-less.

Did you get one? If not, get that small 16g in the FS section.

I'll be buying new from MAP, or ordering online if MAP won't price match. They sounded like they would, though, so we'll see.

I'd have preferred a rebuild, because quality control is better (100%), but couldn't find one.

I'd take a used but decent shape 16G over a rebuilt one. I trust Mitsu a whole lot more than I do some Billy-Bob rebuilder.

Tell that to MAP. I'm SOL until they get my shit in.

But provided they get it in before Thursday, I can guarantee I'll have the turbo on. Maybe not adjusted (if it needs it), but on.

Not everyone has a BPU evo that runs all like a top, ya know. I would totally have been signed up, but unfortunately for me, I ain't got no job to pay for that bitch. Please take that with a grain of salt.

What all are you waiting on? Turbos take hours to install, not weeks :)

Ya, but I didn't call you out, I know your current situation ;) Go work at Costco! Also, BPU is the lamest term I've ever heard. Most of the evos signed up for the dyno day fall outside that category anyways, depending on your classification of 'BPU.'

Everyone's had all summer though, so let's go already!

I know. That's why It'll be drivable by tomorrow night.

But it's taken forever for the install kit to get in. It's going to get in tomorrow, and then I'll be able to put the 16g on.

Nice, I would be there for sure with my evo16g 2G but the f'n balance shaft belt broke. Resulting in the pistons trying to occupy the same space as the valves when the bs belt got tangled in the timing belt. Otherwise, I'd love to come challenge your evo, would be pretty darn close!

The worlds smallest violin perhaps?

Mine is smoking under deceleration too, and during my last pull it seemed to break up a little at lower rpms under boost, I'll have to do some logging in the next couple days, make sure nothing changed on the car like a new boost leak. But I'm still dynoing the car on Saturday.

Or maybe its Stage II?

I seriously get this question a lot.

Well, it was kindof a joke, the BPU thing, and I know you know my deal, I was kindof "defending" others, I don't know why.

^it would still make less than 400whp? lol. oh so funny.

Re: Offical call out for fall dyno day: time to walk the talk!

Ha, what makes you think that? Lot of talk from someone I'm guessing wouldn't crack 300! Bazing... :D

turbotalon1g 09-23-2008 08:49 AM

Re: Offical call out for fall dyno day: time to walk the talk!

I guarantee that i am past 300whp i will put $$$ on it. lol
#'s aren't my game i like the track and i am happy with where i am.
Also we all know that sick baby-eater of a turbo you have you should break 400whp if you fart in the car while driving.

Bump!

Mo, Spring dyno day is only like 4 months away...if you get started now, your car might be ready!

JET, you're officially added to this list. Put a 14b on the thing if you have to! ;)

Maybe next fall's dyno day. Right now any spare cash I have is going back in to the shop. I really need a plasma cutter, then a bigger MIG would be nice and a mill... You get the idea :p I don't have a FMIC or any exhaust for it either, I am going to custom build stuff for it and I want to make sure it fits right so I am only doing it once with the turbo that is staying on it. Right now I am leaning towards a Borg Warner.
