Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Don't forget the autocross in Eau Claire: http://myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmE...sevent_id=9450
This is everyone's chance to run in a large lot with an awesome surface on a national-level course. Also, there is a test and tune this weekend at Dakota County Technical College. If you want to see what autocross is like anyone and everyone is free to come watch and ride along in any car there. If you want someone (like myself or Andres) to take your car on the course for a run or two we can tech it quick and take it out. This is your opportunity to get as close to autocross as you can without driving and it's FREE to you. |
Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Ok, total noob when it comes to autocross but I think I'll give it a whirl. Looks fun.
Since the car is modded, they'll just throw me in a different class but I'll still be able to run as a novice? Jim |
Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Run in SI class; thats pretty much the catch-all class for beginners.
|
Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Yup, SI for first timers. I'm registered for the TNT, Eau Claire and MOWOG 7.
|
Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Today was fun!

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
I'm planning for next year. This year just hasnt seemed to work out. Did anyone run the Track Time event at BIR over Labor day weekend?
|
Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Chukee_R did along with a few others on EvoMN. Please keep this thread on-topic to autocross.

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Thank for letting me take it for a spin. I left early cause my car said it was done time. I think my front axles are dead and causing odd vibration when turning left. Must be the anti-NASCAR mod.

A winner is you. |
Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Gotta suck when you have 17 years of experience and a newb rocks your shit!

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Last autocross is this coming weekend here in Winona for the Land o Lakes region. Saturday and Sunday, 11th and 12th. Anyone gonna make the drive?

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Congrats to Kracka for winning SI in only his third competition! On to SM for you. :) He beat an instructor in the process as well.
Andres looked odd driving something other than an Evo. :( One more event for the year, MOWOG 9 at Midway Stadium on October 19th. |
Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Good job Chris! If you look at the results you would have been 3rd in SM. (or 4th if I was in there as well)

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Dudes, run in SM on street tires. The street tire class sucks if you aren't in a stock-classed car as Adam Barber, Salah and the Miatas prove time and time again. I'm doing quite well in BSP all things considered and I haven't ever thought once about adding a T to my BSP.
Do it for fun, and if by chance you are competitive then so be it. |

Quit being lazy, Zac. Get your ass out to events and help rep MitsuStyle with us!
We've lost Andres and we're losing Deutsch, so we need more Evos! We also need more DSMs, but that's a different ball game entirely... |

I definatly shouldn't have gone for T-SM. But it is what it is. After I figured that out, my only goal has been fastest raw time in the class, something I know my car is capable of, I just need to get myself to that level on a consistent baisis. I have done it once or twice, and showed myself durring fun runs that I could have done it a time or two more. Next year I guess. But in the end, I still judge my weekends by how I feel I did, as much as how the time sheets say I did. |
