I wonder if we could do a group event some Saturday at this place, I have a few small dings I would like to get pulled. Shall I email them?

Re: Paintless Dent Repair

I need a few pulled too. There is a guy that does group rates on mnsc, it was like 50 bucks per panel or something like that.

I had my baseball dent removed by this one guy for $30 bucks last summer. I'll look for his contact info for you guys.

Just by the looks of the cars that place deals with I think I'll spend the money and go to them, group rate or not. I don't want to be cheap on keeping our car looking new. Especially since mine is on a body line as well. So it may never be perfect again. :-(

Same here, I want the best work possible on my car. Their rates are very competitive though, like I said, both times my dad's bill was less than the check he was given from the insurance company (considering the check already had the deductible taken out thats really good). One of my door dings is on a body line, and the dent in my trunk is perfectly placed for it to be the biggest PITA possible.

I'll fire off an email and see if we can get a date setup for the group. What Sat works for people? Want to try for May 5th?

if jet, and anyone else, is out of town that weekend, maybe ask if they could give us a running discount for site members. maybe they will go for it if we get enough people for the first weekend... just an idea.

Re: Paintless Dent Repair

Here is the email I got back:

Hello Christopher,

How many members would we be reaching out to ? If it is a large enough
group we would love to, we are always looking for good ways to introduce
The right type of people to the fine art of paintless dent removal.
We are holding an event for the Porsche Club on Sat. 5th of April. They
have about 700 members... we hope to see a 1/3 of them.
We would probably be happy to see a minimum of 25 people for a shorter
Period of time maybe 10;30 to 2;30 on a sat. we would only be able to do
A couple of cars in that amount of time but we could estimate the rest of
The cars and give you guys a smoking deal.

Re: Paintless Dent Repair

Lets fill a list then, I know a few people on MNSC are also looking to get it done. We can start a list here and then fill the rest of the spots over there?

Did they mean May 5th? So me it sounds like a cluster fuck waiting to happen if they want that many cars. I don't want to show up to get my car estimated, I need to have it just worked on. I will probably go through and just book a solo appointment.

I'm guessing they meant May 5th. If we can get 25 people to come out then we can do this and just have a select few cars worked on, the rest of the people get a really good estimate it sounds like.

AJ 04-17-2007 02:44 PM

Re: Paintless Dent Repair

I've got an appt booked with them on Friday, May 4th. But when I mentioned my car, he knew about it already and seems excited to chat with Chris some more to go over the details. Chris, feel free to call him up if need be. He hopes to have alot of people show up, but the reality is, only a few cars could be worked on during the day. I needed to set up an appt, cause I needed to be 100% on getting this dent out. he also said that the body line would come out perfect and knows the line on the 6's already. Every other PDR guy I talked to said that line would never look new again. So we will see.

Re: Paintless Dent Repair

Allan stop trying to be a loner, get it done as a group so we have a group rate! Even if you have to get it done at a diff time, its still worth the price difference we might get.

1. Chris Hughes - S2kracka
2. Pete Slabek - polishmafia
3. Peter Ferski- M/// Guy, probably can get my dad or bro to get their cars worked on too.

I need it done for sure by the 12th, the 4th is a day off, I'm getting it done then.

It doesnt look like we will get 25 min people though... We need 25 reliable people really wanting to go, you guys think that will happen?

Re: Paintless Dent Repair

Sure doesn't look like it. Might be best off just seeing if we can get a discount at least for all coming from the same group. I'll email him back and find out.

Re: Paintless Dent Repair

We are all invited to a Porsche show they are holding on May 5th. There will be a ton of hot cars, they will be demonstrating their PDR techniques, and hopefully be estimating cars.

We can also go in for estimates at any time and get the group discount (~25%) on all repairs. Just tell Don that you're from MitsuStyle and Chris Hughes sent you.

Well I went in this morning to have my dent taken care of. I didn't get it done since it was going to take 2+ hours of work and the cost was a little higher. I wasn't upset though since they hadn't seen the dent before and I was told by a few other shops that it would be $100 ish and probably would never come out fully. Well these guys said it would be around $225-$250 but with a club discount I'd be at $200 roughly. They also said with that time involved and their abilities they would get it out and I'd never know it was there. Let's see, $100 for a little repair and a dent visable for good, or $200 for it to looks showfloor new. Yeah, that's an easy choice to make. So I'll schedule it when I can arrange the day better.

I must say the guys there where pretty damn cool. They where moving a few cars around. Lots of higher end rides that made my new car look like a pile of crap. Few new BMWs, Porsche in the shop, and this sexy fuck'n F450. When they started it up and drove it outside I wanted to run over and hump it. So fuck'n sexy. And brand new, 1000 miles on it. Sorry for the shitty pics, it was with a camera phone.

Yeah, I don't have any reason to take a car for PDR work anywhere else so far.

Thats one expensive ass dent allan! haha

Sweeet ferrari though, I saw one on 62 today driving west, stared at it the whole way it went by. Drool...

Ill have to get my car up there for an estimate too.

Re: Paintless Dent Repair

Today I had a dent fixed on an Impreza in a really tough spot above the taillight near where two edges meet and it was only $100. Don spent a long time working on this one, he had to remove the taillight and take the trunk carpeting out, then drill an access hole. Afterwards, he rust-proofed everything then puttied over the hole so if it looks like nothing happened since it blends in with the factory putty (of course, this is behind all the factory carpeting and panels). The dent is 100% gone and the car looks flawless.

I also had the 3 dents on my S2k estimated at an insane price since I set this whole thing up :D My car goes in next Monday afternoon.

Anyways, when you go in, just tell Don that you're part of Chris Hughes' group from MitsuStyle and he'll give you the group rate discount. His estimates take about 5 minutes and he said in all his years of doing this he only has had to charge more than the estimate 3 times when serious body work was required (not bad when 15-20 cars come through his shop per day!).

Sweet. Maybe I can get the CR-V hail dents taken care of.

I didn't see this thread until today. I wish I had seen it earlier. Finally I can have the insurance company sign off on this and not have to worry if I get into an accident if they'll repair it.
