Scheides is crazy, he is now running three Kracka Vents rather than the usual two! He is running a fairly unique catch-can setup that I think will work well.

fo sho yo! One from pcv location, one from tranny side of valve cover. Those lines run to a brass T, then one hose going up to my catch can. I had a breather filter on the other side of the catch can, but decided I wanted a vacuum source on the whole system so I ran a 3/8 hose to the other end of the where the stock PVC goes to on the intake manifold. Hughes suggested that pressurizing the catch can was a bit of a waste, and probably ultimately a boost leak, so a third KV goes right off of the IM now to keep things happy powerwise.

Yes, but put a KV inbetween the valve cover and that little filter you got there and you'll be set :)

Scheides - can you draw a little diagram to help explain what you did? Sorry I get easily confused :)
95Talonracer - I personally wouldn't go with that method. You have no vacuum source to draw the air out at idle/low throttle conditions. Also, you have eliminated your PCV. Normally, you are drawing a little bit of air from the VC into the IM. This is unmetered air, but the ECU expects that air to be there and compensates for that. If you get rid of that, you may notice a change in your idle quality. Also you are going to leave an oily mess under that little filter. |

I am going to put another KV inbetween the little filter and the valve cover. Also I am running a GM faft so the air doesnt matter there going into the intake. Would I even want a KV inbetween the hose on the side of the valve cover? I think ill take that one out.

My personal opinion is that you should have a KV at both the PCV and breather ports coming off the valve cover.
Scheides and I just worked out his setup and he'll be running a total of 4! Its a great design though and I think it'll work great. I'll be adding a 3rd to my setup... |

They fit inline with your catch-can or pcv lines, or your crankcase breather. I was anxious at first to tuck all these lines away but now that I know what they are doing I have them setup to be as straight and smooth as possible. I will post pics when I have my full setup done!
Next step would be to replace the fuel line hoses with some pimpin braided SS lines with AN fittings....but that's going to get expensive pretty quick! |

You could do woven push lock also, might be even cheaper and easier to work with. SS braided is so 1990s, black nylon braided and pushlock are the hot setups.

Scheides, you can use it just as normal hose if you'd like also, but I wouldn't just put clamps on a fuel line personally.
Here's another source for a different kind also. Not sure if it's NHRA legal to use it as Fuel Line, but you can use it as vacuum hose... www.mcmaster.com : Type in p/n: 5394k and then click on the Buna-N link on the left. It'll end up being the 2nd to last product on that catalog page. We used that for all the vacuum hose on my buddies Civic. It's also what I plan on using on my car as well. (PS if you order some off McMaster, let me know because maybe we can combine our order to save on some shipping costs). As for Push-Lock, didn't your alky kit use those kind of connections? They are great, very easy to work with. Just push it on the fitting, and that's it. You can find those fittings on Summit or Jegs also. Push-lock is also commonly called Socketless, Push-Loc, Twist-Tite... each brand sometimes has their own little name for it. Summit link Jegs link |

Ya, I'll have to search around for some push-locks, otherwise I think just standard hose clamps will work dandy, this is just the valvecover/crank vent/catch can system, not my fuel system.

Overall, satisfied. |

Scheides I was going to tell you I picked up a bunch of that nylon braided line from McMaster Carr. It's fairly stiff, but nice stuff. Makes things look a lot nicer. I'll put up some pics when I have some.
