Thanks for letting us spectate it was a fun time. Maybe next time I'll have something worthy to put up on the dyno.

Don't feel that way, its all in good fun. There were a lot more low-power cars that high-power cars dynoing and as far as I know everyone had fun and didn't regret it. I feel my $60 was well spent :)

Too bad I missed this as well, sounds like it was a blast. Swanny I'm going to be trying to throw together my car here soon as I get home, and get her up on that dyno

I really hope there was video of Ashanson's car. Holy crap I was soo freaked out. I didn't think cars would do that up there but after it was explained it made a lot of sense! Glad that car was ok though!

Sorry to say but I did not get video of the frog car (i.e. the one that tried to jump off the dyno!), but I do have pretty good footage of it on it's next run, where it's shimmying back and forth. Maybe Barton or someone else got some footage?

Re: Spring Opener Recap!!

The car had a serious alignment issue. Usually AWD cars tend to walk a bit on the dyno, thats why we put 4 straps on them. (2 side straps, 2 rear straps). The first time, Justin just had slight steering input, and when the car hit boost it pulled HARD to the left.
The 2nd run, I got in it, because I"ve never seen this. I had a bit of an advantage becasue I was expecting it. The car pulls very hard one way. The 3rd time we stretched out the dyno a bit more to see if that was the issue. It did the same thing.
He had just had it recently aligned, and we are thinking it could have a toe issue.

that's a tires plus alignment for ya! ;) everyone who I've ever talked to who's had work done there has had a problem with the alignment, or couldn't even get one done because the techs there are too stupid. if you can even call them techs.

Golden Valley Tire on hwy 55 just east of 169 can align anything that has adjustable suspension. I was told my quest couldn't be aligned right because there was only one adjuster, when I took it to GVT, they did it w/out asking questions and there were no wierd fees or anything.

yea im glad my bent rim didnt cause me and harm on the dyno. ive got a replacement for it already, but i might just get a new set of adr's. anyways, thanks for a sweet event. i wasnt sure what to expect but my $60 was deffinatly worth it (considering i coulda have blown my engine otherwise!) ill be back as soon as i put my new ported/polished big 16g, 550cc's and walbro 255. thanks again!
