Ok....

Or how about a nicely tricked out Black 04 Evo VIII with 6k act then?

I'm digging this Evo ALOT!

Til you realize this guy, like many others, quotes their mileage as what the new engine has, not the chassis. This piece of crap has well over 100k on it according to Carfax. If you're going to get something old like this, you might as well just get another DSM.

I can get G35's out the door for less than $22K if you want one of those.

G35's are damn nice cars, I have test-driven them and really like them. It was my backup in case I decided not to get a S2k.

I test drove the new civic and it is real nice. I also real good on gas 30 city and 38-40 highway. Plus it handle pretty good. Honda actually did something right for once. Now they just need to get there torque numbers up.

The new Civic is a great car (Motor Trend Car of the Year for a reason), I have test-driven these too. The Si is a great package for under $20k. I personally would choose a used G35 coupe over a Civic though unless the new w/warranty factor weighs heavily on your decision.

Re: Time for a new car?

A G35 coupe is my 1st choice for a new car. If I can find one that is in my price range that I like.

It all depends on how you take care of the car....

Not really, I, my family, and A LOT of close personal friends have had every type of euro car you can imagine. Since I'm the car guy, I hear all of it... But I knew someone or the other would not like my post, so thats why I added the part about the Consumer Reports. Its from test conducted by them, and by actual owners experiences, non biased facts. Check it out, may shock you.

Anyways, Andy the G35 is a nice car. What color are you looking for, or what does it take for you to like one?..

Nash 04-13-2006 12:42 AM

Re: Time for a new car?

Color, probably black or even white, but really anything but red or silver. Needs to be a MT and a good body I guess.

If it's a G35, get black. The white is fake ass pearl white. Yuck.

I just saw a 2 door black G35 on the way home from work. Sweet ass car I must say.

Brandon I agree that the S40 is a damn nice car. We had one as a rental in the states and there are still black marks in front of our building :D I don't think it has the looks Andy is looking for though.

I had thought of the IS300 the other night too, but fogot to say anything. They are really nice too.

I was pricing out the 4-doors, the coupes are more expensive. They might fit that range with 50-70k miles though.

S40's are nice, but you might as well step up to the S60 then. I've got a T5 with 247 horsepower and it moves. It's been my daily driver up until it got over 70 degrees. They are incredible cars, build quality is as good or better than the BMW's and Mercedes I've got.

I vote for a Volvo. It's got sleeper written all over it. I'll probably be looking at the '06 V50's in a few years when it's time to replace my truck. 218hp turbo I5, with a 6 speed manual and AWD. Plus it's a wagon, so you can haul around a keg or two. :D Or if that's not your thing, the S40 is the same car, but it's a sedan.

Re: Time for a new car?

We had both a S40, and a S60, and I enjoyed the S40 way more. The S40 was a little smaller, but looked much better, interior was incredibly nicer, and in general just had more of a sporty feel to it. The S60 was definately nice, but it seemed like they built the S60 to be the larger more comfy car, while the S40 was the slightly smaller, sportier looking one. Maybe like comparing a Mazda Milenia to a Mazda 6. That's the best example I can think of. Both are nice, but one is more luxury, while one is more sleek and sporty.

Anywho, I also really like the Saab 9-3's. I'm not the largest fan of their interiors, but they look pretty slick from the outside I think, and I believe they are turboed as well! I think my next car will be between those two.

The Saab 9-3's are pretty pimp stuff, but I've heard they are as "great" as the other German cars. mwuahahahaha!

Re: Time for a new car?

Volvos and Saabs arent German ;) And by the way... volvos slogan kinda says it all... "For Life"

We have had 5 plus volvos in the family over the past 20 years and they are very reliable. The new S80 is sporting the same interior style as the s40 so its just a matter of time before they switch the S60 interior over. The S60R is my dream volvo, but its still around 30 to get in one used.

Good man, what color you looking at? I know there's 3 black ones for 22,995 locally with 25-37k miles. They all have small rock chips up front though... well one of them doesn't but it's stock with a 6 puck clutch with beefy ass strut bars. $23,500 is what he was asking. I can give you his number if you'd like Nash.

Saw a newer black G35 today. Those things really look nice but maybe not so practical. Evo is a good choice and not red is even better. The blue one Cher was looking at looked damn nice.

How is an EVO practical but a G35 isn't? I'd say the G is the more practical of the two w/o a doubt.

The Mazdaspeed Miata is the single most fun car I have ever driven. Rates pretty low in practicality though.

Correct on both counts, i had more fun driving that car than anything else. It was just too small and cramped for me to even consider daily-driving it though.

I saw a black Speed6 yesterday on 101 in Rogers. That thing was sweet! The body changes don't look like much in the pictures, but on the road it really made it look a lot more aggressive.

Nash 04-14-2006 11:30 AM

Re: Time for a new car?

If I could find a Speed6 close by I would go look at it for sure.
