Shit yeah! I regret selling that thing. 200cc of fury! 79mph, 2 passengers, black with gold trim....doesn't get any better than that!

It is next to impossible to beat a good driver on a bike. Even a never 600. Some of the older 600s are not as tough to beat but they are still no laughing matter. Sport bikes are fast. I don't care who you are, you cant ever line up next to a sport bike and be sure of winning.

1988 Yamaha Riva 200Z, bought brand new from the dealership in '94 then I picked it up with 1500 miles on it or something like that.

I sold it to some Puerto Rican dude who was going to box it up and ship it to family in PR.

Yep, I am always game. Just let me know so I can wear full leathers. Cher making 428whp wouldn't have stood a chance against a good rider on a 00+ 600cc rocket. My GSXR 1000 would have been a good race when he was making 617whp though. Shifting is a big part where a DSM is going to lose serious time. The bike is NA and a sequential tranny, no clutch shifting and no turbo to respool.

My car making 498whp was not even close to what my bike is. Anyone else have a rocket AND a fast DSM to make a good comparison with? It usually becomes a pissing match with people taking the side of what they have.

I am not saying at all that bikes are slow..hell, the older 600's scare the shit outta me. Since they introduced EFI for them too, they have become a bit more responsive. I am just saying that some guys forget ya gotta know how to ride the bike, and a lot of bikers out there (like a guy I work with) will go to his grave thinking a car can never beat a bike..

My 01 ZX6R is pretty quick. Scares the shit out of me. Not too fantastic yet on the cornering, but the new tires this year and suspension work will help that out a bit. I was always a little leery about laying it down too far with those crappy tires on it.

And mine is carbed. 4 Mikuni's, but carbed none the less. Has got me out of many situations quickly.
