Re: Stripped Threads-Help!

Crap, i'm bringing this back from the dead because i just stripped the same bolt on my head. Hey I called you, hopefully you'll be abel to help me with my bolt, tho i'm not using a helicoil, its like a helicoil but its a solid piece of metal that has the M10x 1.25 inner thread and a 9/16x12 outer thread.
I'm going to get a tap and a drill bit for it tomorrow and use thread locker on the outer threads so it'll never come out. The worst part for me is going to have to remove everything in the way to make sure the drill bit works smoothly.

everything worked out great! all you have to do is crank the engine over and catch all the oil in a cup, then swab out the holes for about 10 min and then put the insert in. I did have some leaking problems so we doubled up the crush washers between the head and the banjo fitting and it works perfectly, no leaks and my turbo is safe.
