They pulled him over driving it. How dumb do you have to be to be driving a stolen car 10 hours after you stole it? The cop told me he was a convicted robber.

One thing to remember about this as well, if your vehicle is stolen with your keys in it, the insurance companies will not cover it. I know you said you only have liability. Just sonething to remember for the future. Don't even leave your keys in it while it is in the garage. If they find out there were keys in it, you don't get jack.

Good to hear they found it. It's a life lesson learned the hard way, but hopefully there was something learned here.

Never leave your car running unattended. It's a misdemeanor in Minneapolis to leave the keys in the ignition of an unoccupied vehicle.

Comparing this to anything in NO is just plain retarded.

I think that if you leave your keys in the car, doors locked or not, you should have a reasonable expectation that in this day and age, your car could be jacked. That should be a warning enough.

Glad to hear you got your car back.

Reminds me of a little story back in the day, a buddy of mine looked up an address and called Domino's to deliver to that addy(there was no caller id then). He waited for the driver to show up, but since the driver was driving his own car, my buddy wouldn't take a guy's personal car so he took one of the delivery cars from the store with the big light on the top and took it joyriding for several hours. Needless to say the car didn't end up too pretty.

I might have been there, I might not have, I'm not at liberty to say. :D And my buddy died eight years ago in a car accident so justice is probably already served.

Glad you got your car back in a non-stripped form. Most people aren't as fortunate.

Good thing you got your car back. One of my friends got his car stolen when he was working at Dominoes, pretty much the same way as you did. The funny part is it was in a trailer park, and he ran around the street in front of his car driving away and the guy tried to run him over. But yea he got his car back too.
