Ha ha a better deal? I think the dealership only made 38 dollars on the transaction as it was. They wouldn't have gone any lower on that truck.

And I was going to stop in and say hi to ya too, Chris. The funniest part about this whole thing is I made my offer of $6500. The sales man came back with $6950 and I told them no, that was to much, with tax title and license it was more then I wanted to spend. So the sales man says how about $7000 out the door. I said I'll do that. The sales man came back with ok to sell it at $7000 out the door. Here's the funny part before tax title and license I am now paying $6496 and some change for the truck.

Uhh, no. The big dealerships rarely get in the situation where they have to sell something by unloading it, unless they're going under. It's still a pretty good price though.

Ok well he showed the used car invoice with the money amount that they got the vehicle on trade for and the price they made when Andy bought it. So it must have been a false document then huh? The salesmen said that they are one of 27 dealerships by the same owner so they don't have to get a lot for used vehicles, they just want to move them to make room for incoming trades. So what your saying is that he was giving us a load of shit? I wasn't just making that up, it was the number he showed us once the truck was paid for. So explain that, I would love to hear it.

That document shows an inflated trade-in value because it's against the full price they were asking on the other vehicle, which was marked up heavily. What exactly do you think that salesperson would get paid on a profit of $38? Sales people at big dealerships typically make 30-40% of the net profit, salesmen don't eat when they make $12 on a sale. The market is very slow right now, but it's not that bad.

Who gives a shit what they made. I feel I got great deal on the truck. Considering it books for almost $9000.

Yeah, it's a great deal. Is it just me or has the price or trucks and suv really gone down a bit due to gas prices? It just seems like they can be had a bit cheaper than before.

Andy, you get that topper off yet?
