sorry, i didn't mean to jack your thread. on the contorary, i was applauding this thread, as you originally intended "it's to help those of us who are looking for the next suspension setup" And, I am doing just that.

Re: drop springs / coil over discussion

I have the h & r "racing" springs which is something like a 3 inch drop and i bottom out in front constantly(the rear is fine though). I would suggest not going more than a 2 inch drop...
This is on a 17" rim with tires that bring it to almost exactly stock size overall. For shocks I run the tokico illumina adjustables and they are pretty sweet.
I have the ingalls front and rear camber kit and it badly needs to be adjusted.
now I need to figure out some way to raise up my front...
Overall its a good setup just remember what jet said about weight reduction, it can acctually make quite a difference.

Yep, the H&R race kit is for 2g's only, the 1g's are their street kit. The drop is 1-1.25".

Re: drop springs / coil over discussion

DSS coilovers ride very rough. I had those and AGX's on my 93 and it was a harsh ride. Def a nice setup for drag though as the car was firmly planted. If you want a good ride the best way to go is w/ a full coilover setup. Idk if your willing to spend that kind of $$ or not though but TEIN offers their SS's w/ upper pillows for the 1G's. They as well has the S-Tech springs for the 1G AWD which ride very nice @ a decent cost as well. All these sleeve and collar type coil over kits available do not ride very well @ all and about cost as much as a set of decent full coil over kits. Spending $$ on good susp is something you will not regret.

Which springs did you get with it?? Like I have said several times now, you can get any spring rate you want! When I talked to DSS they had several different springs on hand and could get you anything from a roadrace setup, to a nice street setup. BTW, most of the DSS coilovers are Tein parts.

Here is my car on H&R's and still close to full weight. 1.25" drop front, 1" drop rear.

dang, that's actually nice! What profile tires? I am thinking 1.5 inch drop max, so looks like it would tuck rather nicely. What camber kit can I get? Also, are you on stock struts? How does it ride?

You expected my car to look like crap?? :D It is on KYB AGX's and it rides pretty rough now. It didn't used to be as bad when it was full weight, but it has lost 200-250 lbs. Elite has the rear eccentric bushings that you need to adjust the rear camber. The tires are 235/45 17 Kumho MX's on 17x8 ADR Kasai wheels in black chrome.

Doesn't Dynamic Motorsport Engineering sell the camber bushings you speak of JET? I believe they are affiliated with SLS but I could be mistaken.
