Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
for an extra fifty bucks you can get a dump tube too.
|
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
You had better pay attention to auctions. Those aren't from DNP, they are from SSautochrome. They are nearly as bad as the pacesetter's. They are absolute junk.
|
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
Nearly? I think you mean't much worse than Pacesetter.
|
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
Ask Chris Carey what he thinks of those hahaha, nothing like your turbo only being supported by a band clamp or having your Tial fall off and hit the ground.
|
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
are you serious. its hard to spot a fake. how do you know.
but id still get the dump tube though. |
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
and i compared the dnp's to the ssautochrome ones. look pretty close to me.
and i dont have to worry about a wastegate falling off. iv got the t(hair dryer)25 |
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
Okay, the turbo will fall off instead. The SS autochrome one has dropped both. I have fixed the DNP ones as well, but only for cracks, not major failure.
|
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
Both DNP and SS and Pacesetter are all big piles of shit.
|
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
gocha piles of ...um... poo.
|
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
not to steal the thread or anything(you might benefit from this too)but there was a different manifold that i was wanting to look at but i couldnt find who makes it. i wanted to know more about it. it does look like the turbo flange is to big for a t25 though so...darn i guess ill have to upgrade my turbo soon. heeheehee.
let me know what you think hers the link. its on dsmtuners. http://www.dsmtuners.com/parts/produ...roducts_id=371 |
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
#1, please use a better way to structure your questions and actual grade level of posting. ESPECIALLY in all tech areas. Like I had said in the PM.
#2, as long as you have a T25 you don't need to worry anything about a different manifold. Adding to that is the fact that the stock 2G manifold can do wonders with a little porting as well. Outlandish manifolds aren't for everyone, and the money could and should be spent elsewhere. |
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
ok..im sorry again but i stil want to know what you think of that one
|
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
Why not go with a proven brand if you are so set on a tubular manifold? Try Full Race or Alien Auto. There's a couple others but I can't think of them off hand.
By the way, nice job of fixing your grammar and punction after explicitly being asked to by the site Owner. |
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
Since when are Alien Auto and Full Race proven manifolds? Did I miss something? For durability the SFP is probably the best on the market right now. Still nothing like a cast one though. Why even "upgrade" though? The stock manifold has pushed over 600 whp. If you want to upgrade, go with a larger cast manifold.

Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
I am highly going to dissagree on the SFP one at the moment, I fixed a few in a row for the same guy, including the ones they sent him for replacement, the welding was pretty sad. There were other issues with the fabrication, but I would be hard pressed to believe that was the best on the market for durability.

Also, even though I don't have personal experience of course, I have read of a number of people having cracking issues with the SFP manifold. |
Re: To Tube, or not to Tube..
I agree the SFP isn't that great either Mike. Some have lasted decently, but I am sure their quality has gone down hill. They are mild steel too, so it is only a matter of time before they fatigue.
I plan on having something on the market this fall/winter, but I need a stress relief oven first. I am going to make mine right, I haven't seen one on the market yet that does it correctly (for a DSM). Much better Jakey, I just don't want to see people misled by vague statements. There are some people on here that don't know any better. |
