I don't know why you took things so person, but from what I have seen people that are generally wrong usually overreact like this.

The 2.4 should really have an extra cost in cam gears if building from scratch.
But to be honest if you just took a quick look at say MAPs site the 2.4s for evos even are cheaper by $100, yes no head, but then cam gears would pretty much even it out.
No wait, they must be wrong and you must be right, hey MAP you guys are losing money because 2.4s are so much more expensive.
Don't worry I'll call them and let them know.
