How much per gallon? ;)

It's one truck load; a rail car is about 28,700 gallons.

Well under $3/gallon :)

$2.5 x 7800 = $19500

You can 55 gallon drums and mix it yourself.

I would be all over that if I could find some decent storage for a good price. Too bad the wife's denali isn't a FFV. Count me in for 500 gallons.

How do you test the Ethanol at the pumps?

You all got me curious now... Especially since we only have one gas station in brainerd that sells e85. With all the events at BIR you'd think they have a good blend.

Just like you test aviation fuel. Minus the water.

Shane tested my ethanol and it was at e83! w00t! Brainerd probably has the best ethanol around! :)

Does anyone know a station in the twin cities that has real E85? I want to fill some barrels up for late season driving.

The problem with having your own barrel is it's abscorbic, meaning it pulls water from the air unless it's airtight and preferably flushed with N2. I ended up giving away 50 gallons to Ron last year because I didn't use it. It is unbelievable stuff to tune on though.

Anyone see the most recent episode of Breaking Bad?

Yes Kracka... We'll take a rail car of it.. if it's less than 98% ethanol we will send it back.

My barrels are sealed, this isn't my first rodeo.

Where is the real e85 at?

We generally finish around 97.9-98.1% ethanol with natural gasoline used as the denaturant.
