Nice, should be fun in that little car

Re: new setup
You have a million clutch options at that power level. Nice setup.

Re: new setup
I am looking at act clutches and when it says 415tq rating I take it that would be at the crank right?
That is what the act 2100 pressure plate with the sprung 6 puck is rated at, and with the numbers that i put down do you think it will hold on hard launches. I plan on going to the track maybe a few times this year not every weekend just a few times. s |
Re: new setup
I don't think a 2100 is going to hold for you, a 2600 would be fine. There are some oyher options out there in between those 2 also. I started to max out my 2100 about 275WHP I would guess.

Re: new setup
I guess the only reason I was going to go with a 2100 is I have heard "storys" of people putting on a heavy pressure plate, and before they know it they have crank walk. Idk what the truth is behind that just want to take every precaution I can to prevent it from happening.

Re: new setup
He is going to run a 6-puck disc though.

Re: new setup
Would the 6 puck really make that much of a difference? I think I got about 2 years and 25k miles out of my 2100 with a small 16g on the car and 19psi max. Best feeling clutch I have had.

Re: new setup
I'll put in a vote for South Bend clutches. When I had a manual, that's all I put in. Great pedal effort, easy to drive and seemed like they held a lot of power for a reasonable price. And they're local (to me at least) so they'll always get my vote :)

Re: new setup
Well I must say I achieved the goal I was shooting for, and that was beating a stock c6 vette. This one being a LS3 made me very happy.

Re: new setup
You need to run them from a dig to make it more fair for you, since you only have 4 cylinders. :)
