Yep. Different from the X 4b11 as I believe they have a full open deck design amongst other things. I think also head design, cams, turbo, mani...lol. Well lots of differences, but same basic block :) I've honestly never really looked into specifics.

Not much in common with the Evo X 4B11T other than the "4B11" designation; it's more closely related to the Lancer block being open-deck as you mentioned. The head is a unique Hyundai design independent of Mitsubishi's head designs.

Yes, its an automatic. Anyone who knows my history with cars knows that I've only owned 2 (now 3) cars in my life. I bought this as a daily driver. Its fun as hell to drive, but its still my DD. I was looking for something reliable, something fun, something a little out of the norm.

This is the reason why my Galant had many exterior mods, but no major drivetrain mods. Hence my nickname, Ricer Pete.

A project car may develop sometime in the future, but not right now.

Call me lame, dumb, or whatever, its fine. Just don't expect anything in return if you come begging me for tires or an alignment. :)

Why hate? Auto's aren't terrible, just not as fun and fuel efficiant as a 5 spd.

ha, pretty much the same reason I got a WRX with an Auto. Well, that and I didn't want to hear the bitching from wifey cause she didn't know how to drive it. LOL
