I think you should get Matthew (mrMTB) a bit tipsy and convince him to get new wheels so you can buy his MR BBS wheels off him. ;)

Best idea yet! Laramie picked up a set for his VIII last spring, maybe he could be convinced to part with them...

I guess you have your work cut out for you on $2 Tuesdays at Fox and Hound then!

We can tag team Laramie though! I still have my stock Enkei's so convince him to sell you his BBS's and then tell him that I'll sell him my Enkei's. I've seen 8's and 9's with both the Enkei's and BBS's and they both look really good on the car.

Sweet man. I'll look forward to seeing you at the monthly NTEC meets we have or any other random meet!

Downside is that I've put the car up because I'm currently working in Ft. Worth and I live in Irving. That's roughly a 50-60 mile commute roundtrip (including going out for lunch sometimes). So I'm looking at 250 miles a week at least. I'm probably going to be out here for at least 3 months until my contract is up so I don't really want to drop all those miles on the Evo. I'm going to be rolling in the 2006 Lancer ES until I'm out of here. However, I'll bust out the Evo for meets so you'll see it eventually. :)

Weak! My commute is 32 miles roundtrip every day...it's a car, I bought it to drive it. It's doing nothing but getting dusty and depreciating sitting in your garage all day :)

6k miles in 2 1/2 months baby!

Re: Greetings MitsuStyles! Kracka recruits yet another one!

Ok, my commute is almost double yours. Does it take you at least 45 minutes to get to work? How about 1 hour to get back home...with traffic?

If the commute wasn't that bad, I would drive it every day. I used to work out in Plano/Frisco (Dallas North Tollway and Legacy). I drove my Evo every day there because the commute was not bad at all.

What kills me about the current commute is
1) It's at least 45 minutes each way
2) There's traffic at 2 points along the way where it just stops
3) I think I've seen cops stalking the freeway EVERY day.

It just doesn't make the drive fun. At least when I was rolling up to DNT & Legacy, it was a fun drive.

My commute is 65 miles round trip everyday...I DD'ed my six puck to and from work with close to 500whp on E85...had to fill up like 3 times a week :)

You are weak! LOL, drive it! My trip is 45-1 hr both ways.

Winter can be two hours.

However, I now drive a honda accord, lol.

NO! I refuse to give in to peer pressure!

I know it doesn't count for anything, but I DID drive it here to work every day last week. At least give me some credit. I tried it out for a week and it sucked. Hence why I switched.

The bright side is now I can work on the car during the week at my own NEWB pace (yeah total noobie here as I haven't wrenched on a car before the Evo, so still learning lots of stuff) without worrying about having to put it all back together so I can go to work the next day. So hopefully I can get that Specialty-X exhaust put on there during the week (it was too F-ing hot to be out working on the car this weekend). Maybe I can pull off the UICP and Intake as well so I can get it powdercoated because I hate polishing that shit every time I wash the car because of waterspots. I like the keep the engine bay clean and that shit just annoys me.

At times I want an auto, cheap DD too, but its not bad. I put on over 350 miles a week at least and im not complaining.

I guess I have FNCS (First New Car Syndrome). This Evo is the first car I've ever bought. Been driving cars that my parent's have gotten me until the Evo, so I just want it to last. I'm sure that feeling will go to sh!t once I get another car because it won't be the first one anymore. :)

BTW, A//// Guy, I love your avatar! I used to watch Fresh Prince ALL the time. Great show! Gotta love the Carlton dance!
