Re: Project Owdee
Seems like a lot of Euro cars always look like they have less gap in the rear, its an illusion though. The M3 looked the same way but the front end was actually lower to the ground than the rear.
Id prefer it to be lower up front too, but im not swapping the springs out again. haha It rides nice and firm, close to stock but with less bouncyness, sticks to the ground better. I wanted firmer, but im sure Ill prefer this once its winter time and the roads are horrid again. |
Re: Project Owdee

Moar parts came today! Woot
Hotchkis 35mm Front swaybar and 24mm Rear sway bar. Handles muuch better in the corners now, less body roll. http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/3559/sway1.jpg http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/3398/sway2.jpg http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/4816/sway3.jpg |
Re: Project Owdee
Baller!!! Were they $900?
oh wait, you don't drive and Evo X... |
Re: Project Owdee
Nice and beefy!

Re: Project Owdee
That front bar is a monster! On an awd car, shouldn't the rear be the same size or close to it? Audi's might be different with how far forward they like their engines....
|
Re: Project Owdee
DSM's and Evo's have thicker front bars too.

Re: Project Owdee
Holy crap nice! Glad you're abiding by the 2-week rule for the cruise ;) Looks like an easy install though, good work.
|
Re: Project Owdee
Haha I figured there was no tuning or fluids to spill and leak out, so the 2 week rule could be altered to two days. :P lol
The front bar was cake, the rear bar took some effort to try and remove without dropping the entire exhaust. Had to pry it out of there like a puzzle. You have to install both bars with the car on the ground, so that made things trickier. |

Re: Project Owdee
Well ive been having part throttle drivability and boost loss issues at high RPM during long pulls, so I did some research and bought a PCV revamp kit.
It eliminates some of the emissions and puts a cap on the intake manifold for the PCV piping going to a stock plastic contraption that usually leaks. Before with the old parts sitting removed: http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/535/pcv4.jpg After: http://img704.imageshack.us/img704/4166/pcv1.jpg It fixed my low drivability issues, as well as made the car feel alot stronger in the low end. So I eliminated a few leaks that way, but the high RPM boost issue is still there. So Ill be picking this up tonight: Forge Diverter Valve (recirc bov) http://www.namotorsports.net/images/detail/FMFSITV.jpg |
Re: Project Owdee
That revamp kit makes things look a lot cleaner!
|
Re: Project Owdee
Looks alot better with the new kit!
|
Re: Project Owdee
clean.
U think u will be able to resell that thing easy with all the mods you are doing? |
Re: Project Owdee
Def looks cleaner! But you cant see it anyway because the engine cover sheilds all that. haha
I dunno if Ill find a buyer easily with the mods. Id probably take all those parts off though, and sell them on owdee forums to gain money back. Cant sell the chip though. |
