Re: (craigslist) posting in automotive services
my older bro dose the same thing and he charges 40+ off craigslist he said people aren't afraid to pay they just want there car to run and drive correctly
id figure id start at a low rate because i don't have air tools just all hand and ratchets. I all most had a snap on 24 volt impact but lost it on eBay . it just takes me longer with out the air tools so my bro has air tools and everything else. but he is 140 mi away I do things the old and slow way but it dose get done . |

I probably wouldn't trust you either, to be honest. But I'm not going to fault you for trying to make some side money. I do side jobs for friends occasionally.

Re: (craigslist) posting in automotive services
The guy does have a point about taking away business from shops, but this is the U.S. and people are free to do what they please.
However, you charging $25/hr really makes me rethink my $35/hr for side work I charge considering the drastic difference in abilities (and tooling), maybe I should raise it, lol... Actually no because most of the time I barter labor with friends/family, haha. I can't believe how many people are advertising that they will work on cars on craigslist, it is insane! Good luck on your future projects, fyi, there is to be no advertising or even pming on this forum for work. The shops on this forum pay to be here and that entitles them to all labor work and business obviously. I believe that is understood by most, but since you are a bit newer I figured I would give you a friendly reminder. |
