Just make sure that when you do move down there, you drop all things Minnesotan. You are now a true Texan, so if anyone asks, you were born there and your entire lineage is pure Texan bred. You will also now hate the Vikings, and all other sports teams existing outside of Texas.
Prepare for BBQ's every night, belt buckles, boots and cow boy hats. Also put money down on a horse before you move. Start practicing Texan speak also. :D |

-I still have MN plates and drivers license.
-I'm the beginning to a new family legacy, except I don't want kids so basically I fail. -I've never liked the Vikings but do still like the Twins and want to catch a game in the new stadium. -I did have two pulled pork BBQ sandwiches for dinner last night. -Howdy y'all! God damn Yanks! How's that? I'm also currently drinking a Dr. Pepper which is pretty much a requirement; its either this or tea. |

Be prepared to ensure that any post regarding Texas from here on out, you have to have at a minnimum, 1/3 of the posts in that thread trying to convince everyone else how much better off you'd be there instead of MN.
Probably not a big deal since you'll be spending most of summer in doors because it's triple digits out and the brown recluses, scorpians, and all the other southern venomous critters are out in numbers :) With all that trash talk being said, it was all meant to be in good fun :) I loved it when I lived in Arizona, but just personally prefer it back in MN. With the right company, you can enjoy living damn near anywhere!!! |
Re: Moving to Texas! All people knowledgeable of Texas, please enter.
I've lived in Tucson for a good part of my life, good times. I'll probably spend a portion of the summer back in MN every year anyways, so I'm not too worried. Heatwise I lived in Vegas for 2 years, and it would get up to 130 where I was occasionally, so not too worried about that either. Hoping to pick myself up a super hot southern belle with a southern accent, is this possible?
