Re: T-case bracing?
Aaron, just dishing it back ;).
I'd hafta dig up examples, but I know brent bennyhoff, jake montgomery, and others whom I don't know by name have grenaded their t-cases (1 including that green 1g on talk, if I remember correctly..big ted is his name?) My t-case and tranny are from a 91 galant, and for that reason, I dunno why, but the t-case is aluminum. I have thought about swapping the internals over to a cast case, but I found this pic earlier today, and got wheels in my head turning, and we all know what happens when wheels in my head turn (besides a headache).. |
Re: T-case bracing?
Why doesn't your homeboy Rau fab one up for you?
|
Re: T-case bracing?
har har har. Rau doesn't do everything for me, jesus. Besides, he doesn't even know what a t-case is ;)

Re: T-case bracing?
I'm not kidding anyone. What's wrong with doing research, and trying to prevent anything from going wrong? I swear every time I raise a question unasked by others, I get shit from assholes like you. Don't like the question, then keep your opinion to yourself. Not once did I say I was fast, cool, or anything. Last I checked the ownership of the car was MINE, not yours.

Re: T-case bracing?
^lol. I think he is just dishing it back, so get off your high horse big turbo slut.
Jake's car exploded cause his Tcase locked up I thought? I don't know nothing about mr BB. I know who you are talking about on talk, but I think you should run the car a bit first. I'll let you know if I find out anything, but that shit is too high HP for me. |

I agree, swifty, get the car running down the track first :p |
Re: T-case bracing?
Still thinking about getting a parachute?
|
Re: T-case bracing?
Fine, nevermind. I'll just run it, and shut you all up. Blow it up, whatever.

Re: T-case bracing?
Did I scare you last night swifty when I was talkin about gear behavior?
|
Re: T-case bracing?
Just get another one for a backup. They are cheap enough and easy enough to install where it wouldn't be a big deal if you messed one up. If you happen to break yours, maybe you can spend a little time beefing up a second one. I wouldn't worry about breaking it just because a select few people have especially with how cheap they are. Just my opinion though.

Re: T-case bracing?
Dont forget to run a brace that braces the brace. Also put a brace inside the parachute.

Re: T-case bracing?
Waste of time. I split mine in half at the shootout in 2001 or so, that piece of shit brace pictured wouldn't help with squat. You'd have to brace it from top to bottom and side to side on the front of the case, where the gears mesh at the 90 degree angle. There's not room to do that under the oil pan so it's a moot point. Keep a spare in the trunk and call it a day.
