I'm really impressed you gathered the car up Chris and avoided the walls. Excellent job :)

Yes, very impressed. And he didn't panic and mash the brakes either.

The other cars driver said that he was starting to go sideways but decided to stay in it and hope it straightened out, it is a damn good thing he did!

Yeah, Chris was rather quiet for a little while after the close call, but he got back in to the car and did another partial pass after.

The car is amazing, and I foresee some 7.60's or so out of the car next season. I'm glad I was there to see it!

Oh, and the prep of the track for the first 200ft or so was amazing! They definitely do not skimp on VHT there!

LOL he was quiet for awhile for sure. But I think it all went south when he hit 2nd gear with no traction.

You must of loaded a diaper full.
Stay safe out there.

One more thing to think about... Are you sure you have your 4link set up right? I would think that with it properly set up you wouldn't be lifting the front tires so much.

Do you guys have in-car camera footage of that?

This would be the other thing I was wondering about. Cars will lift up the front like that, but the wheelie bars maybe should be set closer to the ground. Plus, like they said, it was cold out. I saw some people at the starting line wearing jackets I think? Maybe they should just do a bigger burnout, haha.

We're still nailing down the suspension setup, but our 60' times have improved every outing and I feel that 1.22 is pretty respectable ;) The traction issues were realized on the 1-2 shift and may have been worsened by a water leak from a blown head gasket, but that's hard to tell.

This isn't the same blown headgasket that dropped your power at the dyno day, is it? My head was lifting and that's why I was down. Maybe it's time to o-ring your block too, if you haven't already, lol.
