Re: wont start

It shouldn't make it not start. It will just run like crap when it does. If your in doubt plug em in and see if it helps.

The code reader is cake. All you gotta do is push a button and it does the rest for you. Thats gonna be your best bet at this point.

Re: wont start

My o2 sensor is non existant at the moment and my car runs fine. Don't think that would cause a no start.

Re: wont start

Check and make sure the ground wire is connected that plugs together by the thermostat housing. It is a single black wire with i think a yellow stripe and it plugs into another single wire of the same. I forgot to do that and it had nothing.

Re: wont start

Hmm... You replaced the cam sensor behind the intake cam? Did you make sure to put the correct cam gear back on after you did this? No reason to take the exhaust cam off but could the intake cam have gotten switched with a different one or even the exhaust cam if both gears were taking off?

Where is the car located? Did Twack swap the motor or just do the timing?

ya i came out and put the timing belt on the engine while it was out of the car. I had some extra time so i also got it on the motor mounts. Alliance i know you had a way of towing a couple weeks ago could you tow it to get that code checked?

You never answered my question. Did you check to see if that one single black wire was plugged in? If not, that will make it not start.

Re: wont start

That single black wire with yellow stripe should be the starter wire for the ignition. That wire would make it so the car wouldnt even turn over... IIRC

Re: wont start

Well the car turns over so the ground is fine

Have you ever checked the ECT sensor (Engine Coolant Temp), when they go bad they give a ridiculous temp reading and the ecu doesnt know what to do. Ive had a few of those go bad causing many a headache.
