Re: Considering stroker, looking for feedback
[quote=Halon;295785]Did you spin a bearing?
I had a clutch issue, the clutch would not disengage and put so much pressure on the crank it mess up the thrust bearing and the crank. all the rod bearings are fine. |
Re: Considering stroker, looking for feedback
Gotcha. Well as I said before, I'm going to reuse my rods, and am only looking for pistons, and the pistons need to be atleast 30 over. Thanks anyhow.

Re: Considering stroker, looking for feedback
Another question I have is regarding head gaskets.
I plan on going with a .040 over 86mm pistons. Does this mean I can no longer run an OEM headgasket? I'm still running an OEM gasket on my .020 over setup. But is the bore becomming too large at .040 to run this gasket, and do I have to start using some other kinds of gaskets? |
Re: Considering stroker, looking for feedback

Re: Considering stroker, looking for feedback
Dont use wisecos. Last year when i pulled my motor apart i noticed stress cracks on the skirts of the wisecos in my motor. Went on some forums and turns out i am far from the only person to experience this.
Permatorques are the bomb though :) |
Re: Considering stroker, looking for feedback
I've heard a lot of stories like that about Wiseco's. Seems the HD's are the way to go. I am leaning towards sticking with Mahle's. Just waiting hoping I can find a set on the cheap from someone since I still have a quite a few months before this happens
