Was this your decision or BIR's? I've never heard of a full-face helmet being required for auto-x before. MAC requires a SNELL2005 (M or SA) rated helmet and SCCA I believe requires a SNELL2005 SA helmet; these ratings include open-faced designs (which is what a lot of us have purchased for auto-x use).

*edit*
SSCA SOLO II actually only requires a SNELL M rating.

Doesn't sound like Brent can make it out as he has to race at ATCO the following weekend, but we will be touching base with just about every big name you can think of so keep an eye on this post!

We're in the same boat, we ran there 2-3 times last year without issue? The only thing I can think of is the classes as most of their events are domestic focused which is exactly why this event is taking place :)
