http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo-e...7864.sized.jpg Eibach pro-kit springs, decided to go for the gold at the cookout and just slap them on teh stock KYB struts. Turns out it was a good idea! http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo-e...7865.sized.jpg installed: http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo-e...7877.sized.jpg No cutting of stock bumpstops: http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo-e...7885.sized.jpg First off, let's take a look at that sexy, sexy stock ride height: http://www.scheides.com/albums/rota-...1541.sized.jpg http://www.scheides.com/albums/rota-...1540.sized.jpg http://www.scheides.com/albums/rota-...1539.sized.jpg And now, ~1.2" drop front and rear, no rake (and dirrrty): http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo-e...7892.sized.jpg http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo-e...7889.sized.jpg http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo-e...7891.sized.jpg http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo-e...7895.sized.jpg http://www.scheides.com/albums/evo-e...7886.sized.jpg Ride quality is dramatically improved while cruising, and the car feels smoother AND tighter through the corners. No, this is not a hardcore track setup, but guess what? Like most other evo owners, I DD my car and I have a whiney wife. This is a perfect compromise for me, performance versus comfort. I wanted to do some MR bilsteins at the same time for the ultimate uber setup, but I have to say that these springs on the stock KYB shocks have really, really, really made a drastic difference for the good. Special thanks to Modern Automotive Performance for getting these in my hands in like what, TWO DAYS? Pretty impressive, and the price was right. See you at the cookout, bitches! :D |

Also, thanks Kracka and Kevin_1G_drummer for helping me with this impromptu setup. We finished the tails and I was like, 'so....ahh, what else you guys wanna do tonight?' hint hint.....:D

Dude, I told you, you gotta get those holes welded up, otherwise your hood won't fit right! Hahaha The drop looks good.

Re: Help! Found massive hole in side of engine bay?!?!?
Can't wait to see it and get a ride.. this or something similar is prob my next mod...

Re: Help! Found massive hole in side of engine bay?!?!?
That drop looks good. But that garage floor is entirely too clean, and that has to be the biggest manufactured breaker bar Ive seen. Sure beats the 10' black steel tube I got :)

Re: Help! Found massive hole in side of engine bay?!?!?
Just took a cruise down to hastings last night, via downtown minneapolis. MN roads sure do suck, but damn I love the smooth ride of these progressive springs. They very subtly soak up cracks and bumps, but still let you really feel the road, as you should in an evo.
Visiting Dr. Forss today. |

Re: Help! Found massive hole in side of engine bay?!?!?
Jeff is a nut, but he does great work for cheap!
One of the WRX shocks is blown and getting replaced under warranty...I should have them slip some ProKits on! |
