Ahh gotcha. So no need to wait a crazy long time between the color coats and the clear then, maybe an hour to be sure I'm happy with the color...

i usually use rc car window tint, and everbody that has seen my car says that it looks really professional!!!

You would probably only need to wait maybe 20 mins after the basecoat to put the clear on. That makes it dry enough to gently put them in the car and see what you think about how dark they are.

thats what i did on one of my tailights, it softened the hell out of the plastic. enough to get rid of that nice line that comes out on them to match to body lines of the trunk. dammit.

I was doing some work to a spare front headlight assembly that I had laying around. Kind of forgot about it. It sat in my oven for about 20 hrs at around 200*. It's a big warped piece of goofy looking plastic now.

I can tint them red for 75.00 not no cheap ass out of a spray can. we use ppg paint's and clear

Don't mind the wobble, the car is up on stands for the night :)

This is after about 12 hours of drytime. Baked heated oven to 185, then turned it off and put tails in for about 20 mins when we were all done.

Just needs some wetstanding and a little more drying time:
