Extreme PSI has the Big GReddy for $839. I have it and it works great. Not much difference between the standard and the big Greddy as far as installation goes. Just like RRE says, "They will not offer a 2g intercooler kit of their own as long as the Big GReddy kit is available for $900" (or less elsewhere). The big GReddy kit uses the Skyline core. And it takes advantage of all the available space in the bumper.

all that brand names stuff is great, but in the end it's the I/C's ability to cool the air charge that matters. fact is most cooling is done within the first 6 inches of the intake-tank side. sometimes they have HP ratings for different core sizes which should give you an idea of the size you would need.

thick is good, and top-to-bottom flow would be the best, i believe.

get spearco-style core.

Top to bottom sucks.

They have their advantages as well as disadvantages.

Whatever you get stay away from IRC (Indy race cores) a really good friend of mine ordered about 1,500 bucks worth of stuff last may and hasn't gotten any (he is in the process of sueing them at the moment)

Also my brother ran an IC with top to bottom flow (or the other way around I don't know) and he ran a 12.2 with an ETE 32. The IC's that flow like that are actually much better that way if they are set up right (notice how the stock one is set up?) They can be better because they arn't as hard to get air through. The best way to explain it is to get a straw blow through it. Then cut it in half and try again and you will see how much easier it is to blow through. To have one work best you need to get the air to enter through different sides not the same side though. (his was the same side) So in theory they can work alot better but most people don't use them cause they aren't as avalable.

We can't be talking about IC's and relating them to ET's. I'd relate em to hp instead or mph and other variable factors like gas type and shit because if we keep just saying "oh this IC went 10.0" shit, my 1g stock IC went 12.6... maybe 2g guys should get one... if you want it I'll sell it to you. ;)

Personally I used the greddy 24row for most of my dsm carrier. I had the greddy 16row also. Both were used with my HRC S20G.

It wasn't until I descided I wanted to go bigger turbo that I changed my set up.

Just an FYI - Brant dyno 470whp with an FP Green and Greddy 24row.

Personally though if I ever had to do it again I would go with the best that's available at this time. (at the time I purchased my FMIC Greddy was concidered top daug). However if I could do it again I'd go with the one I have now. Unless someone can figure out how to fit a Greddy 4 ROW Supra FMIC on a DSM and make it so it doesn't just make your front bumper all messed up.


Believe me you'll hit your goal. And once you do you'll be like ok now I want to go faster. Hense Why I say go big from the start with all the best stuff. Cost more initially but if you have to upgrade then you'll be paying double.
