Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
I see one ETS ic on that whole list and its not even the big one. Compare apples to apples.

Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
My 5" Joe-Tech exhaust is better than a Buschur 3.5". Man ... Joe, you make great parts!

Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
No problem, yeah Buschur's car is a good marketing ploy. He has done great things with it and his stuff is decent. Not the best, but decent and he gets good money for it.
Anyone have any info on the supposed 600 whp car on stock internals? |
Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
OT stuff moved to another thread, like I should have done in the first place. Sorry JET, and BOO everyone else for feeding the OT frenzy (including me).

Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
No biggie, this wasn't a serious thread anyway :D

Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
579whp - daily driver
http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=310751 and here is the thread... 500+ stock block club. http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthr...t=record+stock |
Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
Very nice Cher! 669 whp on stock internals?!? HPFreaks is in Oregon, so STD correction shouldn't be too far off, right?

Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
A few guys running SVT's have gone up to around 1200 on the stock SC 4.6 4v, as it's all forged and hand built, it's just too bad we have to drag that extra 1000 lbs to along to go with it! Around 1/2 the SVT cars I know locally are 600+. I know 1 that's @ 950, and another thats @ 1100 whp, precently running in the 9's. But where DSM's have the advange over SVT's is clear, weight, traction and cost.

There are a few 2jz's making 1000+whp and I own a 2jz too. There are none around here making over 1000whp but it is okay because I am talking about my engine. |
Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
Jet it also depends on which year the 7 bolt record when I was wondering about it was 530fwhp on a dyno jet. I personally made 457fwhp on the 2nd pull on race gas Shane was tunning and wanted to go for more. But at the time no-one knew what the limits were and 450whp seemed to be the consensious as limits and I need it to drive to work as it was my DD. was a week later I finally got a hold of the guy and he told me what he traps/made.
but again are we talking completely stock or what are we trying to figure out? I had arp's with 264/272 combo. |
Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
I was wondering what qualifies as stock internals also.
To get to those numbers, they aren't running a engine with 120,000 miles on the block like I am running are they? I wouldn't trust mine at that limit. Can you rebuild a motor to "Stock" specks. There has to be tricks to getting stock motors to run that high before they blow under stress. I have ARP studs in mine, should I add another 50 hp on this theoretical limit? |
Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
There was a guy in the Chicago are making in the mid 500s on stock 7-bolts a few years ago, but it seemed like he blew one up everytime he went to the track.
My wife's motor is rebuilt with factory Mitsu internals and I don't know if I should try to push it farther or not. It runs too good to go and fuck up. It put down 467awhp on the Dyno Dynamics at the MitsuStyle Dyno Day on it's daily driver tune, which should be around 550-560 on an AWD Dynojet and probably more on a FWD Dynojet. I still want to do an intake manifold on it and run more boost though. |
Re: Highest HP on stock internals?
^ how long has it run so far?
the longest i have heard of a high hp stock internal car running is 1 year. |
