I agree, i think if you told Nick your problems he would at leased make the effort to try and help you. Seemed like a nice and reliable guy when he did my exhaust.

I can vouch for him, he didnt beat the hell out of it on the way back home. He bought this car for a daily driver, so why would he pay 3k somthing just to beat the hell out of the motor? The shop could have easily put in a mixture of reallly heavy duty oil and some normal oil, just to make the valves and rings seal up for the ride home. I am not saying that thats what they did, I am just saying that it could temporarily fix it.
Anyways, good luck man! |

I heard what happened today, lets just hope this gets resolved offline, had enough of that drama last summer.
|
Hmm interesting... Yea drama is gay but I just want to know what happened. Like was the motor shot before he bought it etc... but thats none of my business so its cool if no one answers. Plus I dont want to start any wars.

For once I agree with brine shrimp boy, this should be settled offline. Once all the facts are known then maybe the story could be put out in public but at the moment, everything is speculation.

Did you get my PM? ;) Sorry Im a post whore.

North Dakota law states:
"Under North Dakota law, you have little protection against defects that surface after you buy a used car, unless you purchased an extended warranty." "Private sales usually are not covered by the "implied warranties" of state law. That means a private sale probably will be on an "as is" basis, unless your purchase agreement with the seller specifically states otherwise." Also this was not a deal done through Straight Line Specialties nor does it have anything to do w/ the business. This was my own private deal and will be dealt w/ accordingly. Basically states you cannot return a vehicle after your mechanic sets a fire in the engine bay. Nick Straight Line Specialties |
I'm not going to discuss this here, in terms of legal matters this isn't proper to talk about it on a public forum.
