If you don't know how to tune fairly well with it, you shouldn't be getting an AEM in the first place. It's good to get it dyno-tuned for that last few horsepower, but if you can't set it up yourself, you should be getting something simpler.

Tis true, I'm getting link and I'm planning on loading up a base map and then taking it in for a tune.

So LSE can say they carry it but MAP cannot? Im sick of your BS posts lately where you complain about stupid shit. Seriously we know you are biased toward a certain shop anyway, but others are more open to choices. Use your brain before you post again. Let the shops compete on there own, they dont need added drama like you have been bringing.

DSMlink- Easier to setup, less complex, cheaper
EMS-Harder to setup, more complex, more expensive

Take your pick.

MAP pays for the right to come in here and advise they sell the product as well. In fact, that's the right of every one of our sponsors. It's how they choose to use it that's up to them.

If people have an issue with that bring it up with me. Leave the bullshit comments out of the fucking tech areas.

My apologies fellas.
I like all shops all have there strengths and weaknesses.
I have been referring people like crazy to all shops.
About the whole messing with the tune, I have just seen to many people try to improve their received tune and mess up their cars in a bad way.

Yup, 99% of the time its best to just leave well enough alone unless you know exactly what you're doing.

Re: AEM EMS????? DSMlink????

Chickensoup- $559.00 on the dsmlink. You will also need a 2nd gen turbo eprom ecu. $60 to socket your ecu.

You would have to socket the EPROM so you can put the 'link in it.

EDIT: These guys sell a 2g EPROM that is already socketed for $250. That is a hell of a deal for a known working, already socketed EPROM.

Re: AEM EMS????? DSMlink????

The only 2g's that came with EPROM's were 95's, so he'd be referring to socketing the 95 one.

Re: AEM EMS????? DSMlink????

You have to use a 1g in a 1g, and a 2g in a 2g. Different wiring/connectors...

And in the 1gs the 90 is a hair different yet as far as wiring goes. Easy fix though.

Darren, the owner of FFWD, is an excellent person to do business with. I have done business with them before and have had nothing but great results.

2G EPROMs are getting hard to find so $250 is a respectable price. I sold one a few months back to someone up in Canada but I can't remember how much I got for it. On a side note, kno is spelled know; becuz is spelled because.

My experience is completely opposite, I 100% disagree.
