Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
omg, I liked your old wheels, but I like these ones SO much better! ....that's saying a lot from me, considering they're black!
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
I agree, I really like how those Rotas look!
|

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
the 2 new tires went on fine. no problems.
as to what Pete is talking about I found out the hard way I can not run a 17*8 on the rear of the car with out a small spacer 7/32''. the rims were touching the rear control arms just enuff that they ground down the inside lip a bit and blew out one of the tires. It split all the way up the side wall. I ended up going to get 2 good used tires in Anoka they are kumho's out in the back now. we sanded down the rims on the back to smooth them out and they are all fine just have to powder left on the back lip. I will paint them black when it gets warm out. So now I have spacers all the way around the car. I do like the way they look on the car, but they dont bake them in gloss black and not in a 18*8 with a 48 off set |

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Picked up a few new parts the other day
new 2 core 1/2 size alum koyo copy radiator. The one in the car has a small leak in it so I got this one. Then will have the leak fixed and use it in the spyder. FAL fan for the honda radiator. found it in FAL's ebay store for Dirt cheap the only problem it is yellow so it will be painted. Just dont know should I paint it black or hot pink to match the valve cover and fuel rail that brandon did for me cusco oil C.C. got it off evom for cheap also. I had to keep with the cusco stuff ;) soon will be picking up FIC bluemax 1350cc injectors have the dsm chips reflashed for them and e-85 20.00 upgrade project Kics r40 neo chrome lug nuts. some time when I sell some parts I will not buy them with my money when they are 248.00 but with sold part money it is not a big deal since that is how I buy stuff for the car. Also today I just sent out my extra evo III T.B. to be rebuilt and made bigger. I also sent them 3 1g turbo T.B.'s also so I will be getting mine done for free and get a few bucks back also. :) They are buying my others to do and resell. here is were it went http://www.throttlebodys.com/index.html |
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Steve is a great guy. He's my facebook buddy now :)
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
That picture he has of the Evo TB is the same one Buschur has on his website; I guess we now know who does Buschur's 65mm porting :)
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Do the DSM ones stick like the Buschur Evo bored TBs?
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
he told me if it sticks send it back and it will be fixed.
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Didn't know you ran a keydiver chip! That's what I'm using right now with E85. It's awsome.
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
they are the only people in the US that can burn a chip for a evo 1 ecu. so I did not have a choice on it they get way to much for them

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
I tryed to it did not work. For it to work I need to find a evo 7 ecu and I will not pay close to 400 shipped for one
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Still got that evo8 ecu? Can you explain why it didn't work?
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
I sold it a long time ago to a guy in russia. the evo 8 ecu would not give out a fuel signal. It turned out the evo 7 ecu will only work with the evo 1-3 after I tryed to use the 8 ecu. It is all because it is a US ver. has a diffrent harness and ecu factory program over the UK,and japan evos. I am just going to stay with the chip and safc right now till dsmlink gets the evo 1-3 ecu done
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
got a email back about the T.B. he got it on sat. he go it done today and will be on the way back tomorrow that is a really good turn around when i shipped them last thurs in a flat rate box.
also the radiator and fan should be here tomorrow |
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Crazy that it didn't have a signal, but it must have had a switched 12v output that just went to a relay, right?
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
new stuff showed up yesterday but the dumb ups guy left it at the front door at 9:45 with out ringing the bell.
I have to trim the the fan brackets alittle bit to get them more room on the radiator and hope that it all fit's in there since it is a really tight fit to start with. the fan came from FAL as a fixed unit for over 1/2 off. Just going to paint it black this summer when it is warm out. http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04941.jpg the brackets that came with the fan http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04942.jpg the copy of the koyo radiator and Jack http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04943.jpg cusco oil C.C. picked up cheap off evo m. just have to get some hose for it http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04944.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/DSC04945.jpg |
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Those new rims are 10x better looking on that car, keep up the great work man!
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
That catch can is fuckin pro. Nice.
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
LOL I love how you'll buy ebay anything unless it says cusco on it!
I like that SPAL fan, I had the 2x one for my 2G and it worked AWESOME! imho leave it yellow, or paint it pink! :) |
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
if i can find pink plastic paint in a spray can i will do it
i know i have a ton of cusco stuff already and it was a steal but ebay is all great. also my buddy in the UK just sent me his full rear wiring harness for the trunk and rear fog's of the trunk lid for free. should be here in a week |
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
also the t.b. should be back tomorrow so i will have a lot of stuff to put on in the drive way :)

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Looks great!
Is the TPS is on backwards? |
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Nice!
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
it was on wrong and not tight so I think he just put it on for shipping it back.
the t.b. is on and so it the oil C.C. had to get 5/8 hose from craig for the can and stop at the hardware store to get 2 union fittings to go from the 1/2 to 3/8 so I could just put them on the smaller hose to the valve cover. tomorrow will be the radiator and fan and if there is room I will put in my nice s.s. overflow tank I used for the spyder. also going to wash out the engine bay |

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Looks good mark! Does it stick at all? Is your IM inlet as big or bigger than the new TB size?
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
does not stick and the mani hole is bigger. the manifold is the size of a q45 t.b. just had the smaller t.b. flange put on it
|
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

Did u search for evo fan? Car looks good. |
Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

|
