Like I said way back when, it's easy to get first time business. It's getting the return business that's the show of customer service.

Joe, if you don't have the authority, talk to Mike or Jay and explain the situation. If they decide for you to call the customer and ask for more money, then yes it's not your fault. But if you didn't do this step, then it is your fault no matter who screwed up in the first place. If you are there to fix it, then it is your responisbility to fix it no matter who is to blame.

And like I've said on each of my posts, this is not meant to flame but to enlighten you to how normal business is run. I have to get approval on different things from day to day from the higher-ups. It's not a big deal. But I have a lot of freedoms to help customers out as well. In the end it's the customer that needs to be happy and taken care of. Not saying some customers don't screw up, but it is up to you to make sure that they know what and why they are wrong. I have eaten next day air charges a few times because I forgot to let the customer know it was gonna cost extra to next day air the parts in. Oh well. Granted we lose a little in shipping, but we keep a good customer happy.

This thread is something which needed to happen. Every other forum on the internet, except NABR and underused Good Guy/Bad Guy, locks down anything which exposes the truth of Mike & Candi Huml's business practices.

So my reasoning for bringging this up is for sbr, and it is basically that your man admited that the dsm community is "shrinking" which I dont believe it is in general, just at your shop which should say something. Please listen to what people like matchbox have to say and your company would be one that i'm sure alot of us would give a try (or another) down the road.

i love this thread. we birthed it, nurchered it, and it grew into a strapping young thread. Now that its a THREAD we decided to put it into a cubical, and made it sit there 80 hours a week, until it gave into the corperate spirit and now recites the corperate motto in day dreams it has... soon it shall be dead, and a thread that once ran through fields of posts will die off like the day it was born... Interesting....I could remember it being my decision to leave the company for other pursuits. And that's all I have to say and will say on this matter in this thread. Besides that minor detail I have nothing bad to say about SBR nor Mike.

Also, my name is Jon. Found this site thru google being bored seeing what I would find with my name and I found this site. I enjoy being around cars in general. Started with DSM's and now getting into the V8's (I know, I know flame suit on ha ha) As for hobbies other than cars, football, basketball, and classic comic books. Besides the unfortunate way I found this forum, it looks to be great site and I will be looking around the forums and helping out when I can.
