All depends on the blender, and what they're currently blending with.

You don't even need a full MAP. Just get your injectors scaled right for 91, then just cruise/idle around town and stay outta boost for 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank (don't fill up all the way in my opinion) and you will be good.

This statement right here will save you all the hassle of this entire thread. People forget to realize that owning a laptop, Tactrix cable, and some software doesn't make you a tuner just because you read a thread about it online.

I think you meant save not have.

Lots of this on the national scale, people think they can tune.

Which is why I always try to remind people that when I say I am going logging/scaling injectors, I am just logging it and a real tuner is doing the tuning.

^Exactly; logging/tweaking isn't tuning.

Pssh, I don't even tweak, I have Jon VPN in and control my computer for me lol.

I don't wanna f it up, even though I know the basics, not worth a motor.

LOL even better. That's how remote tuning should be done. This nonsense about emailing a log and them sending back an adjusted ROM within 24 hours is total BS. Remote tuning should be scheduled with a specific time slot just like dyno tuning is. I don't get these guys who are "in progress" for 2-3 month stretches when I can drop my car off, grab lunch, then come back and have it ready to rock.

The only delays with Jon are mechanical. He looks at it and basically says, you have a problem with so and so, then I take forever to fix that.

But yes, the way I am trying to do now is setup a time slot for him to work.

Dyno tuning is nice, but I am a big advocate of street tuning now and touch up on dyno, it just seems to get it dialed in better for true street driving as that is where you are driving the car.

But I digress.

Different strokes for different folks. My car is 100% dyno-tuned and it's been awesome on the street in all weather, temperature, elevation, and climate changes.

Just to better demonstrate how quickly his 2.3L is able to spool the EF4, here is my car with EF2.5 over-layed vs. his with EF4:

Hmmm, is this just a break in tune?

I'd expect over 500whp on his setup or damn near. I mean, your car (no offense) hangs with him on the graph for a little bit.

Just seems like a very conservative tune for a much bigger turbo and more displacement.

However, its a great looking graph none the less, looks very fun.

It's not a break-in tune, but it's also not a final tune. The engine is still tight and the fuel & fuel pump were overheating due to being on the dyno all day. It goes back on April 13th for the finishing touches.

P.S. ...and my car is just that fucking awesome :D

Ok, well I can't wait to see it with his final tune then :)

Your car is a very solid pump gas car.

But, I am just surprised on his. The like week I ran pump gas on my EF4 I cracked 500whp on like 24psi. We ran into phantom knock stuff (motor noise) though. But it seemed easy to hit 500whp.

Rock on!

Re: SE take two! Err, make that three!

For whatever reason, X's seem to make more power with the larger turbos on pump gas. We've seen the same thing down here locally with Blacks too.

Indeed, still making 300 lbs of TQ at 8000 RPM is legitimate.
