Re: 91 Galant VR4
Shitty!
It must feel good just driving that bad boy again |
Re: 91 Galant VR4
Skuzz. If only it was a bad solder joint or something.

Re: 91 Galant VR4
Yes it did feel good to drive the car again, this is the furthest it has driven under its own power in 7 years....
I have the ECU board on my desk right now and looking for just that very thing. I will be able to barrow an ECU this weekend and see if that fixes it. I will drive the car to work tomorrow just to get a few more rounds on it, it drives better then I thought it would and the tranny feels great, but I have not shifted above 4k yet though. ~John |
Re: 91 Galant VR4
After last night, and tonight, i've got over 120 miles on my car just driving back n forth! lol. Sorry the car was a let-down, as it seems to always go, but atleast ya know what it is, and how to fix it.

Re: 91 Galant VR4
Here are the "final" engine bay shoots. I have dyno time again, now I just need to finish up the head lights and turn signals, just the switches and relays left.

"Its so quiet you can barley tell its running, ow I found that rattle." Not: A little sarcasm on the first comment. "Its funny to look in the front end and see nothing, look in the front end and out the wheel well." ~John |
Re: 91 Galant VR4
wow...it's quiet? lol. amazing stuff John. Hoping to see it run at a track one of these days. One the craziest GVR4 builds I've seen on the internet and in person.

Re: 91 Galant VR4
When is the dyno time? Pm me and I can bring up my aem for that swap..

Re: 91 Galant VR4
I finished up the head light, running light, turn signal and gauge light wiring. I will drive the car to work tomorrow doing a little street tuning and then back to the dyno in the next week or so. Rock falls has a few track days on saturday, I will make sure to hit a few of these up before the season is all done.

I will post a few more details and what not tomorrow. ~John |
Re: 91 Galant VR4
Woot!! Pulls quite nicely..unfortunate for a few issues, but overall, a very clean and eventful dyno session, yielding some good power.

Re: 91 Galant VR4
Wow thats great. Turbo must be pretty large reaching full boost @ around 7k. Should post some street vids of this hog. :)

Re: 91 Galant VR4
GT 4202 with the 1.01 divided exhaust housing and a 2 liter motor.

Re: 91 Galant VR4
How much boost? I am assuming E85 with the target AFR.

Re: 91 Galant VR4
It was fun to see this thing in action on the dyno last night. Nice numbers and the car looked really cool!
