Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

The car runs, I need to finish a few items to make it dyno ready, and a lot more work to make it track ready. I will have it on the dyno sometime this week befor the dyno day. I am going home now.

Just got done with waiste gate pressure, we will see what a MBC can do for me tomorrow. The car is crazy loud and makes good power, it should be a quick car.

Go easy, we want to see it on the rollers saturday, even if it is just at wastegate pressure!!!

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

Josh had ear plugs in and ear muffs over, and it was still loud. We use the ear muffs all the time now, even low hp cars, the rollers are a little loud. And the car can handle more then WG pressure, nothing is trying yet, clutch holds good, IATs are ambient temp with no ice in the water/air setup, fuel system is way good, power is good. I am only going to turn it up a little :) .

Open exhaust? What is it making?

Pushit2.0 10-19-2007 12:21 PM

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

Very open exaust, I have a little piece that points the exhaust to the back of the car, just for the dyno. The down pipe ends at the front cross member pointed at the ground, so I made a 90 deg add on that gets it to the oil pan, which also has a WB bung for tuning. Take a guess at the power level, this could be fun.

Well bring some ice for saturday, I can't wait to see this thing in action!

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

My IAT's are only 75deg, no ice is needed yet.

It'd be way quieter out the side. Dumping the exhaust directly under the car reverbrates badly making it seem a lot louder. But that shouldn't really matter unless you're actually thinking of driving it around.

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

I will drive it on/off a trailer if thats what you meen. And the dyno cell does not help being a confined space and all.

I'll say 450awhp on wg, 650awhp tuned up on serious boost.

I want to see 700hp on 35-36. WOOT!

I honestly wouldn't be suprised to see 8xx on 35-36 psi.

What world do you live in? Do they have gravity there?

niterydr 10-19-2007 02:01 PM

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

481awhp, no corrections. First clean pull to redline (9300rpm). I've only attempted 8 pulls on it so far, had to get that afr dialed in. The motor is alot tighter for fuel consumption compared to my original estimate.
Those 1600's with that A1000 pump is massive.

We will see what I can get out of it this afternoon, get those AFR's in check, maybe toss some timing at it, bump the boost a bit if we feel like it.
No point in pushing it as the car will be sub 2900lbs w/driver.

I'm living in the make-believe world were swanny drive's his car, rather then let's it sit there, and everyone doesn't pick on swifty because his car isn't tuned, or run at the track for the last 2 years!

That world doesn't exist. My car is simply a figment of your imagination.

But if you are bored, you can come out to my world tonight and get owned in Guitar hero/do some drinking, lol.

Yeah I'll be here until probably 10. I have John's car here, another one to tune that should make good power as well.

Do you realize that 800awhp on that dyno is like 960+ AWHP on a Dynojet. And those Evos that are making 1000awhp on Dynojets are pushing 50+psi.

Obviously not. On a plus not John's turbo spools faster than swifty's. :loser:

Full boost at 6600rpm, currently, I'll see if I can speed that spool up a bit.

NOS will be next year, also VP import and a lot more boost will make the shep stg 4 tranny a gear salad.

Naw it weighs to much, the tune is still a bit rough.
I can probably get another 100rpm out of it, but the nitrous weighs to much for john currently.

I think hes building an awd fucking honda.

I too have a direct port setup sitting here right now. I will be taking off the turbo along with everything else this winter, and inspecting it, as there's no reason it should be that laggy.

Yay green! Nice numbers for only 23 psi!

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars

26psi, I do not have enough exhaust manifold pressure to get it down to 23psi.
