It sounds like he wants more luxury. In that price range it is hard to beat a slightly used Lincoln. They take a HUGE depreciation hit the first 2 years so you get great bang for the buck.

Lincoln's don't slow down their depreciation landslide after 2 years, ask me how I know. :(

That and they are usually electrical and ignition nightmares, new or not.

Yea I am guessing he won't be interested anyway, he cares about reliability, not super bling bling.

I still want him to get the Optima with the upgrade package with sunroof, leather, heated/cooled seats etc. That thing was awesome. if I was spending 27k it would be that.

But he isn't sold on it yet.

The newer Tauras is really nice. I had one for a rental in Connecticut, and my buddy did too, and I was quite surprised. Definitely a car I'd consider owning if I was looking for something in that category.

You have to exchange the car though for another one. I still doubt I'd get a "better" deal than what I got. I mean, yea I'd get a brand new one but I dunno.
