Thanks Spaz, looks like those are in stock near my house. I will go there then.

I never buy these, wasn't aware they were readily available everywhere, my bad. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Had to get some 3" clamps like this for the Vette when I put in a Z06 exhaust, went to napa and they were under $10 each. Worked perfect.

Or I have two of those clamps pictured in 2.5" but the bolts should work for 3" if you want to reuse what you have. Free, I'll give them to someone on the cruise so you don't have to pay for shipping even.

The oriely ones are like 10 bucks, I'll just pick them up tonight from there on my way home. Thanks for the offer though Andrew, I appreciate it.

I am planning to work on the car this weekend quite a bit so I would rather just get them now.

The bolts on that old clamp look like they were made from standard Buschur grade SS as well.

Yea, it bugs me they rusted so badly :(

The exhaust was like 850 bucks too. thankfully the tips still look new and the piping itself has held up.

The nicest stainless Buschur sells is the rebranded Chinese eBay o2 housings, the rest of his crap is either mild steel or 409SS which rusts pretty badly after a salty winter. My Buschur clamps were trash after 1 winter/10k miles on my IX.

Dropped my turbo and exhaust manifold off at MAP yesterday for porting/coating. Then picked up these.

Anyone else used the ID1300's? It came with pins and plugs and it looks like I need to solder them on. I am Ok with doing that, although I prefer not to. Just curious if I could get drop in ones so I don't have to.

Anyway, working on my fuel pump install today.

Ya those clamps are available everywhere, kinda nice it uses parts that are readily available honestly...been there on the rust though.

What's with the fuel pump I see lying there? Seems to say DW on it... :)

ID1300's, interesting. Not sure on the soldering of pins, that seems goofy. Good luck!

The fuel pump is AEM, its the AEM320. The DW box is for the relay and wires, its their hardwire kit.

I am going to check with MAP to see about getting me the PnP adapters, think they forgot them.

Get the ID PnP harnesses...do NOT get the FIC ones.

Ordered the ID ones. Bill and I both forgot about the adapters. I assumed they just came with the injectors and he forgot to ask so I didn't get them.

He is getting me some this week though I think, so problem solved, no soldering for now.

Got the ID PnP adapters yesterday and have the exhaust clamps as well ready to install.

Also got this from MAP.

Turbo inspected great! The only thing it needed was some seals and re-balance which we already did. Everything else checked out perfect! No need for bearings, thrust washer or any housings.

So the used turbo looked good I guess and is ready to rock. Sounds like it just needs coating so should be here end of next week I am hoping along with my manifold and downpipe and then its just time for install and tuning.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog

Downpipe is done, manifold will be done porting next monday/tuesday I think and then the following monday/tuesday the turbo, manifold and downpipe will be ready for pickup. Woo.

Working on the pump right now, but missing some pieces.

See this:

I sold the connector last year with my wally 400. Does anyone have a part number for something similar at like Napa or something?

Hopefully I don't get in trouble for asking this ;) I'll probably head there tomorrow to poke around but figured I would ask as a a lot of you guys are quick with finding these things.

Here is the rough size:

Once I get this piece I can finish up the pump install and start in on intake mani next weekend I hope along with TB fuel rail and injectors etc.

Sorry, yes I meant cord grip (headslap), not connector. Sorry, was a little sauced up last night working on the car when i posted haha.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog

I'd search electronic stores like acme or radio shack. Otherwise Grainger or McMaster or any other online electronic component place would have them available to ship.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog

This is what i was looking for, its what I had before and sold with my pump setup.

Ordered!

Now once that comes in I can finish up the pump install.
