I'm guessing some dust covers were left off?

For this pic, yes. I mean literally this pic was taken after the trans was bolted back up to the block. Once we got everything back together, yes, the dust covers and every little other thing we took off during the tear-down was put back in place :)

Check out this sweet plate that Rosey machined for me! I'm going to get it powdercoated over at primo sometime in the near future.

IDK if I have any. It was just a black piece of plastic with 3x holes like the center one. When I got the seat heater controls in there they obviously didn't fit, and a few attempts I made with bondo were nothing short of amazingly aweful. Rosey made this piece and then shaved down the entire top 1/4" of the black plastic, this fits right on top. Once its PC'd It'll get affixed to the plastic piece below with a little bit of our favorite bonding agent :D

The 2008 GSR came stock with a coin tray in that location. The 2008/10 MR and 2010 GSR came with the single AWC button as pictured above.

Example of coin tray:

It's just set in there until I get it PC'd. Buttons aren't even hooked up, it's 85°*out; my ass is warm enough! :P

No pics, but I put on the whiteline rear sway bar inbetween helping my neighbor with his rattly Forrester exhaust. I put it on the medium setting, and the car now feels insanely flat around cloverleafs and tight corners. I still have the coilovers, which have kept the car way flat already, so this is a pretty awesome setup.

Coilovers will be coming off soon.

Re: beaterX project thread

Suspension, suspension, everywhere! I was trying to get some sort of stock-ish suspension setup together for this thing, and a few fridays ago I ordered a set of eibach springs for it. I had no shocks and no hats, so there was a lot of little suspension components to either buy seperately or find whole assemblies. I had been hunting and hunting for a decent deal on a set of Bilsteins out of an X MR, but I got sick of people wanting a fortune for them or them being potentially damaged, or whatever.

Ordered up a nice clean set of full GSR suspension, 8k miles on it. As (my) luck would have it, two days later, a set of MR Bilsteins popped up for a great deal, and the came complete with a set of Cobb springs!

http://www.scheides.com/albums/evoX/IMG_2913.sized.jpg

I swapped the Eibach springs onto the Bilsteins and started ripping out teh coilovers.

Bolting down the last few bits. You can see the big whiteline swaybar up there, bolted in a few days ago.

The Tein MonoFlex coilovers, already sold. Awesome coilovers, but not for me. Hopefully I don't miss them :)

And, the leftovers (for sale):

After buttoning everything up and putting some miles on these this weekend, I am SO HAPPY with the results! The new suspension sits about 1/2" higher than the coilovers were set at, the drop looks nice, the ride is absolutely fantastic, and the car still corners like its on rails. I have an alignment scheduled for Tuesday @TheAlignmentGuy, and I'll be doing some more testing and an autoX in a few weeks :D

Whenever the extra bits sell, I think it'll be BBX time!

I know, I know....the car was dirty as fuk afterwards. I did wash it today, but it was dark by the time I was ready for pics. I was too busy driving it and enjoying the new ride! I'll snap some soon enough, don't worry :D I'm going to try and take them in the same spot as the previous ones in my alley.
