what's the point of doing twin-scroll and then doing a single WGA? There goes part of your powerband man! :D

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

there will be 2 tubes coming off the collector, then merging for a wg, farther away..it will still be fine.

The battery relocation done in your car was done by QPR and all parts were from summit. I ordered all of them. The car did not have any known electrical issues before you got it. The electrical system functioned perfectly before the motor was pulled.

1-4 runners welded. 2-3 are getting redone since there wasn't a ton of room to run the exhaust. Then, comes the 2 WG's..

So sexy! You gonna get it coated?

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

I will eventually, I'm sure. I should, as that's a ton of heat. But, Depends on how much it costs, and the fact that money as it is is tight as fuck. I am still suprised I'm making this setup a reality to tell you the truth. Woulda been easier to keep my old shit, and get the billet 6765, but I made it happen I guess!! Gaskets, fuel fittings, figure out the downpipe, and lower ic pipe, oil return, and such..I'll be set!

Will this be done before I get home? (may4th-ish)

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

I certainly hope it's done before April, so I can get tuned!

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Yes, most tuning shops close their door on April 1 so better be done by then or it'll never get done ;)

Just curious, but who are you getting to make your manifold?

Swifty1638 02-26-2010 01:44 PM

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

I have a friend I made a few years ago from the shootout, who lives in PA. He's made and sold a few manifolds to others over on talk, and other sites. I've seen his work in person a few times, and I can say without a doubt he's good.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Ahh, I see. I'm still looking into something for the 240.

Swifty1638 02-26-2010 01:50 PM

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

It will be difficult for him to do, since he has no car to mock it on.

Look into the SSautochrome shit. I know its SHIT for DSM's, but for whatever reason it works well for the 240, supra, mustang guys..dunno why.

This. The blue MKIII Supra that was at the fall dyno day was running one and he had that one for like 3-4 years without any problems.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

I guess I should also post that I got my new fuel filter that will fix the lean issues on the dyno last year, thanks Mike! Also, Taking my Turbo to Brent to have the exhaust housing vband welded on, get a few fittings and gaskets from him, but then he leaves tuesday for PR, and will be back next week, THEN I can get my head back and start re-assembly!

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Trying! I am just impatient. He's helpin me bigtime too, which is nice. Joe's still cursing, and plucking away at the mani..lol. Would be nice to see that done, and get it here next week, then get the turbo bolted to it, and all done/ready for reassembly and fire it up!!

LingLing 02-26-2010 04:48 PM

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

You better call me when you're getting ready to fire that thing up. I gotta be there for it!!
