Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Motor is only torn down when it's needed. The motor that was in it this last year was the motor all year, and the head swapped once when we where in brainerd for the MCSO, atleast to my knowledge. Either Way, it seems the springs and retainers are more stout then the BC ones I had before..

I have been advised by multiple shops to avoid BC springs due to premature fatigue.

Well, good thing I got rid of them then! I was cheap when I got them, just as I'm cheap now, but I keep thinking the things I am changing will help for the future. Be it the -an lines everywhere to prevent swelling/leaks/tears, or etc..

I just purchased GSC beehives, they're similarly priced to the BCs but use stock retainers and you don't have to worry about the questionable quality that Brian Crower is know for.

hmm..You gonna shim yours though? I guess there's a lot more into it then I thought. Coil bind, valve seat cut, etc..

I think You mean Ferrea noob. lulz

Good luck with the new setup though, the head upgrades should help the revving issue. I'm thinking of going with the FP Beehives in my car, Shane had said the Kiggly beehives might be a bit too stiff of a spring for my setup.

I don't know how to multi-quote, but.

You caused that fuckup where the alternator wasn't grounded probably last year.

And apparently shane puts in springs the right way by checking them unless they are mad sick yo and you want to pay him partially with taco bell, I heard something about "extra no meat" once upon a time.

My head I got from Munchgsx and well we know how he rolls.

Please note the 'MQ' button, next to the 'quote' button ;) Click it on whatever posts you want to multi-quote, then click quote on the last one. You can do it in the order you'd like to quote them in, too.

lol, yea. The alt was grounded, it was a different wire that wasn't that I didn't know about. It was tucked down away from back when hort had the car. Either way, we all find things that are hacked and not the way it should be, and we fix it, right?

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

fuck yeah I hate this car, I find hacked shit all the time still.

I wish I would of started with a stock car, but well I've had quite a journey with this one.
