wow. good stuff man. the car looks pretty badass with those slicks on the front. Looks like that's some good traction with the hoosiers

Thanks! Yeah they hooked pretty decent on the street. The track will be a different story obviously. There isn't much left on the slicks though, I'm thinking they will probably last me one trip to the track maybe 2.

Took the turbo back off and sealed up the compressor housing. While taking it off I noticed something..

Can you say boost leak? Even with a bunch of exhaust wrap the exhaust still melted a hole in my coupler. The weird part is my car never acted that wierd. Only a little studder here and there but I thought it was cause of my injectors. Anyway, I brought my LICP into primo and had them weld it up so I wont have a coupler there anymore.

I also installed my 20psi wastegate spring.

(10psi on the left, 20psi on the right)

The most boost I could get before was about 26psi dropping to 24psi with the 10psi wastegate spring and the knob on the boost controller all the way in. Now I can boost 30psi and hold it great. That's still with the boost controller all the way in. I'm gonna try out a hallman boost controller and that should do the trick. My plan is to run around 32-35psi. That should get me to my 500whp goal. :)

Hallman MBC ftw!!

Thats awesome, I can't wait, but thats a lot of power from 350.

Either way I can't wait to see this car again

Re: 4g63tcrazy's new setup for 2010

Well the Hallman MBC would only hold 25psi. I took the spring out of my boost controller and added to this one and now she holds 35! All I gotta say is this is the first time I've actually been scared driving my car. 3rd gear is back to useless even with meaty tires and 4th just torque steers and goes absolutely crazy. After the 2nd pull the vac line popped off the back of the boost gauge so I'll have to secure it. It definately feels like a 500whp car now, but only the dyno will tell. I'm gonna try and make it to the dyno day at MAP saturday but we'll see.

Re: 4g63tcrazy's new setup for 2010

Little update: Car has been running really strong so far. I drove way down south yesterday to go look at a AWD shell and on the way home hit up the back roads. I beat the living hell out of my car. I was taking corners at about 80-100 and on the straight aways just went balls to the wall. It was one hell of a time. Filled the tank up full and by the time I got home I was on E and had to fill it up again. Thinking about heading down there again just to hit the backroads again. I don't think I've ever had so much fun with the car before. Sure is fun doing long 5th gear pulls! :drive1:

Oh and I just bought an old school JMF intake mani. I'm hoping it will wake up the top end alot more. Right now I feel like it's pretty weak.. Should be here hopefully by the middle of the week.

Also some bad news.. 3rd gear grinds if I dont take it easy now. Just started doing it this year, never had an issue before. I'll re-adjust the cables and put some new redline in and see what happens.

Re: 4g63tcrazy's new setup for 2010

Yeah we def should. The car pulls pretty damn hard now at 32psi. I got it tuned pretty good too. MUCH faster then when we did a couple pulls before. I really wanna throw it on the dyno to see where I'm at but MAP and DB are pretty backed up right now.

Got my SMIM manifold thursday.

I got the stock one off and started modifying things to make this fit. It's a lot more of a project then I thought it would be. The first big issue I ran into was the bottom of the throttle body hit the battery, even with it lowered down on the subframe. So I had to make yet another battery trey and tie down and this is the best I could come up with.

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...0/P1030870.jpg

Not as clean as how I used to have it but it works and the battery doesn't move one bit.

Then I went to bolt the throttle body on and found this..

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...0/P1030871.jpg

The hole is a little too big so the throttle body cant seal. I'm thinking of just have primo fill it in a little with some welding. We'll see..

Is that thing flanged for a stock TB?

What brand/who made that thing?

Re: 4g63tcrazy's new setup for 2010

The guy told me it was an old school jmf. It is flanged for a 1g tb. He said he had it all rewelded by his friend to add strength blah blah blah. Pretty sure it's just a copy of a jmf, but for the price I got it I can't complain. All the welds look great and visable cracks. Maybe I'll have to get the flange cut off and have a new one welded on.
