Seriously though, when is this stuff going on?

Doesn't bother me! :D

We start on Kracka's car. Exhaust manifold goes on Saturday followed by a trip to Cobb for a dyno run.

Intake manifold and throttle body should go on next week followed by another trip to Cobb for a spin on the dyno and to get properly tuned (Kracka's car as well).

We'll probably start work on mine the week after that.

I don't think that is too uncommon, especially on a piece AFTER the turbo.

Some people have had problems on their manifolds where the coating has flaked off from the inside due to a sub-par coat job and caused problems on the turbo.

Thanks I had no clue. :fart2:

For comparison: stock VIII = 59mm, IX TB = 61mm, X = 58mm

Coating inside and out is common practice; inside to prevent the metal from absorbing the heat and outside to prevent the metal from dissipating what heat it has absorbed.

Did thread clean up just happen or something?

Ah, thank you. I always feel confused when stuff randomly disappears.

It's the man deleting posts trying to keep us down. :D

So EM swap was put on hold since Kracka's car took a xfer case dump. Hopefully it'll be good as new by the end of next week. Then we can get back to business, otherwise we may have to do the testing on my car.

In other news, I got new brake pads put on. Went with RB ET500s. Pretty simple install. No issues. Bedded in and ready to stop on a dime!

Glad the pad swap went smoothly and you're happy with them!

Finally got around to doing more work on deadmau5X. Kracka and I tackled the exhaust manifold today and didn't really run into any issues other than it took a while to pull the manifold off.

Also managed to change out the stock downpipe and installed the Cobb downpipe. Not too difficult to change just the downpipe. :)

Going to the auto show next weekend, but the weekend after will be IM/TB swap along with a fuel pump install and then final tune!

Stay Tuned Gents!!

In about 8 hours as of the timestamp of this post, I'll be over at Kracka's and we're going to finish off deadmau5X (can be referred to as DMX from now on if you so wish :p). Mil.Spec ported intake manifold and throttle body will be going on. Also need to do an oil change as it's about 500 miles or so before it's scheduled, but since it's going on the dyno tomorrow, going to go ahead and do that too. We hope to be done between 12:00 and 1:00. I'm schedule to be at Cobb at 3:00pm. So we will have plenty of time!

Afterwards it's off to Cobb for a fuel pump install and finally get DMX tuned! I was wanting to get a Cobb fuel pump kit but I don't think they ever got any in stock. I planned for this and went with MAP's 255 Walbro kit. It's pretty nice. The Walbro fits quite snug in the housing MAP made. So Cobb will be installing that as Kracka saw the install when Cobb did his and told me "Fuck that. Let Cobb do it. I don't want to mess with it." So...Cobb is doing it, lol!

Currently my car is sitting at 343whp and 358wtq. After all is said and done, I should be right around where Kracka's numbers are at 360whp and 370wtq. It should be quite exciting! I will try and post an update tomorrow night after all is done. :)

I helped Scheides with his pump tonight, god damn did they make that shit obnoxious. It's almost like they don't want you taking it apart or something ;)

Man up and DIY! :) It's not too bad, its not like I was bleeding within the first 30 seconds or anything..... :P On the flip side, moar fuel iz gut! I'm happy with my MAP kit; I went with the DW300 pump though.

Re: Deadmau5X: MOAR Mods 'N Stuff

For how little Cobb charges for the install it's not worth it, I'd rather spent that time eating tacos!

Re: Deadmau5X: MOAR Mods 'N Stuff

IM/TB, oil change, and speeding ticket in my neighborhood? Done! Time for tacos :)
