Manly. How high are you going to rev it though?

Ok, well in that case, I'm letting you know now.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Knowing me, it will only rev to 7950rpm's like last year, cuz it STILL won't be fixed..who knows. I'd like somewhere around 9200, but we will see. I dunno if the rest of the motor will take it. I've been wanting a new motor for a while now, so who knows if I'll try and sell this block, or just push it.

Goodhart, what's my timeframe?

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Are you even going to be able to shift at 9200 rpm?

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

I should be able to...

Sounds to me like its time for a 2.1 so you can rev it higher or time for a 2.4 so you don't even need to rev it so high.

Before Friday would be nice so then I could maybe pick it up this weekend.

I'll try to have it pulled by then.

As for stroker motor, not at all. I'm sticking 2.0l.

Well technically, a 2.1 is a de-stroked motor, right? :)

I say keep the 2.0 you have in it and let'r buck.

Rock falls opens ~April 11th...that's about 90 days away, better get going!

Shit! That's closer then I thought. I really don't know if I'll make it, nor will I want to, seeing how busy the first events of the year usually are.

Come up to BIR on the first wed night then, last year there were seriously like 40 people there, some people got in 20-30 runs that night.

LOL, sequential turbo setup.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Is that really the new turbo Swifty? What is it? it doesn't look like a billet 67...

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Well, I was waiting to post anything up, but scheides kinda forced the hand.

I got a GREAT deal on this thing. it's a GT4294. But, it has a SMALL .70 ar divided t4, same housing that was on my 6776s. My friend Joe is making me a top mount manifold, which is looking like a work of art! Pics of that to come.

I talked a lot with the guy who orders these turbos, and he's got them on a few k-series street trim hondas running 9's, and it made over 640 on a awd dyno dynamics, 36 psi, e fuel.

Still waiting on parts for the head, then i'll get a MLS headgasket, and throw it all back together..

Fuk. Is the rest of your car built to take that?

Swifty1638 02-04-2010 04:20 PM

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

lol, yes, the rest of the car should be well equipped to handle said turbo. I'm shooting for 40-45 psi, IF it will take it. I am trying to decide if I'll get a new knock sensor, and if it will be a 2g again, or a 1g..Shane?

The 67 didn't want to spool on your car...like it does on other DSMs. Two words: hello lag.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

So, what are you going to do if you still have this 8k rev limit? You'll have like 1000rpm-wide powerband...back to stock ECU and/or ignition? Otherwise I vote twin-scroll 6262 since you'll have the manifold setup for it :)
